GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Sean Coleman, 42, is accused of driving under the influence, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 9:41 p.m. Oct. 25, after a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 19.
  • Nikolas A. Rodriguez, 30, of the 3300 block of W. Pensacola Avenue, Chicago, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more, use of unsafe tires, suspended registration for no insurance, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24, following an investigation into an unwanted person at Yardhouse, 1880 Tower Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 29.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY

Matthew West, 18, of the 3900 block of Triumvera Drive, is accused of aggravated battery, mob action, and was arrested at 11:02 a.m. Oct. 21, following an investigation into an incident that happened in the 2200 block of Daisy Avenue on June 28. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 22.

Employees of a business in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road reported at 9:49 a.m. Oct. 22, a vehicle had been stolen by someone from the parking lot sometime in the last week. The spare key was missing from the file cabinet. Nothing was seen on camera.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A Northbrook resident reported parking her vehicle at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 22, in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road, earlier. A woman, between the ages of 40 and 50, approached her and began yelling at her incoherently. The resident left and later returned to the car, where they found large scratches from the front to the back of the car, which appeared to be keyed.

UNWANTED PERSON

Employees of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 23, to report a customer was trying to make a purchase, but their card was not working, and they were yelling at the staff. The store asked the customer to leave for the day.

ASSIST ANOTHER AGENCY

A California business reported at 11:43 a.m. Oct. 23, one of their rental vehicles was stolen and was locating to the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The vehicle was located backed into a parking spot on the north side of the hotel. The vehicle was towed by Gene’s Towing.

THEFT

  • Employees for a business in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road called police at 7:44 a.m. Oct. 24, to report an employee was stealing money from the register between Oct. 2 and Oct. 23. Total loss is $103.
  • A resident in the 3700 block of Winnetka Road called police at 8:13 p.m. Oct. 25, to report two Samsung Galaxy S24 phones they ordered from AT&T were stolen from the front porch of their house after they were delivered by FedEx at 1645 hours. At 14:48 p.m., surveillance cameras captured a person involved: a male wearing a surgical mask, black hat, gray hoodie, gray pants, white gym shoes, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9, between 145 and 195 pounds, who walked up to the residence and stole the package.

ASSAULT

An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 2:22 p.m. Oct. 24, to report a customer was upset with the business because they had deposited a large amount check, but was told the money would not be available until the holding period was complete. They were holding a cup of coffee and said they would pour hot coffee on the employee if they did not release the money. The customer was given a trespass warning not to return.

TRESPASS WARNING

Employees of a business in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 5:05 p.m. Oct. 24, to report a male with dogs has been camped outside the business. Officers spoke with the male, who said he has been sleeping on the chairs and tables for a few days. The property owner said they have received several complaints from tenants and wanted the person to be trespassed. The male was told to leave the property and not return. He left without incident.

ARMED ROBBERY

A resident in the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace reported at 5:17 p.m. Oct. 24, being approached by two unknown males while walking from the 3700 block of Central Road. They displayed a weapon and took a backpack, wallet containing $260 cash and credit card, in addition to a Samsung Galaxy cell phone and Samsung earbuds. The resident said one of the males was 5-foot-10, slender, with dreadlocks and a full beard.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Highland Avenue resident reported at 3:02 p.m. Oct. 25, receiving a bill from Verizon Wireless for $222.41. The complainant does not use Verizon for their cell services. The complainant believed someone used their personal information to open the account.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 26, a male was soliciting for money in front of the store. When asked to leave, the male started to swear at employees but left when the employees called the police. Officers located the male, who denied arguing with the employee.

RETAIL THEFT

  • Employees of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 4:46 p.m. Oct. 27, to report a male, between 18 and 19 years of age, with dreadlocks to his shoulders, had attempted to purchase four $250 Paypal gift cards and a lemonade. The employee was unsure of how to ring up the transaction, so the male told them what to do on the register, using the cash sale button, but he never paid any money and left the store with the items. Total loss is $1,013.98.
  • Employees of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 6:26 p.m. Oct. 27, to report seeing a male quickly load items into a shopping cart in the electronics section of the store, including a TV, speaker, and three scooters. The male was seen passing the last points of purchase without paying for the items and was stopped by employees in the vestibule. The male yelled at the employees in Spanish, then left the store without the items, entering a dark-colored Toyota sedan. Complaints will be signed. Total value of stolen and recovered items is $469.95.
  • Employees of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 8:03 p.m. Oct. 27, to report a customer used the self-checkout without scanning all the items. They placed several items in a bag that they did not pay for, and then passed the last point of purchase. They were stopped by employees, and they said they thought they scanned everything. All items were recovered, and they were issued a village ordinance citation for theft, as well as given a trespass warning not to return. Total recovered stolen items were $200.
