Facebook 'Seller' Threatens To Kill Family: Glenview Police Blotter
The seller sent photos of a man with a black handgun, wearing a ski mask, to the resident, who was inquiring about a house for sale.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

- Yefim Glikin, 38, of the 4200 block of Cove Lane, Glenview, is accused of driving while license suspended, possession of a suspended license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Oct. 19, following a traffic crash investigation in the 3300 block of Glenview Road. He was and assigned a court date of Dec. 9.
- Avante Starnes, 24, of the 1600 block of Wedgewood Drive, Gurnee, is accused of driving on a suspended license, having one headlight, and was arrested at 7:21 p.m. Oct. 17, following a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Willow Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 19.
- Annabel Nado, 19, of the 8300 block of W. Harrison Street, Glenview, is accused of driving on a suspended license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 8:31 p.m. Oct. 14, at Lutheran General Hospital, 1775 W. Dempster St., Park Ridge. The arrest followed a traffic crash investigation that occurred at Central Road and Clearview Drive. She was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 22.
FORGERY
Blake Springsteen, 34, of the 10600 block of S. Harlem Avenue, Worth, is accused of forgery, and was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Oct. 16, at the Skokie Courthouse.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Graffiti tags were discovered at 7:58 a.m. Oct. 16, at the Metra North train station, 2301 Lehigh Avenue. The tags "13S" and "Folks" were found in the men's bathroom.
TELEPHONE THREAT
A Woodlawn Avenue resident reported at 7:44 p.m. Oct. 17, they had made contact with someone on Facebook about a home for sale. They had attempted to pay a $60 application to them via Zelle, but it would not go through. The person then provided multiple different email addresses, which they found suspicious, so they ceased communication. The person sent messages to them threatening to kill their family if they did not pay the fee, along with photos of a black handgun and a middle-aged white male wearing a ski mask.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 1600 block of Meadow Lane called police at 3:53 a.m. Oct. 18, to report their Ring doorbell alert had woken them up. Video footage showed a male wearing a black face mask pulling on the door handle of the vehicle that was parked in front of the garage. Two unknown vehicles were parked near the entrance of the driveway, one possibly silver.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE
Police located a vehicle in the 1200 block of Pleasant Lane at 4:06 a.m. Oct. 18, that had been entered while it was in the driveway unlocked, with the key fob in the center console. Two vehicles had left the area at a high rate of speed. There did not appear to be anything missing from the vehicle.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A resident called police at 8:07 p.m. Oct. 18, believing they were being stalked. They recognized a person from their employment at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road. The resident said the person would sit at an open table and not order anything or talk to them. They saw the person sitting inside a car and at another business in the area. The resident said the person has not spoken to them, approached them, or has been seen near their home, but they thought it was suspicious to see the person in several other locations.
BATTERY
Police responded to a home in the 3400 block of Glenlake Drive at 11:21 p.m. Oct. 18, for a report of a battery. Upon arrival, they spoke with the complainant, an Oak Brook resident, who said they got into a physical altercation with a resident of the 1000 block of Bette Lane. They said they were arguing with another friend when the person became involved by slamming them on the ground, striking them with a closed fist, and attempting to put their hand in their mouth. Witnesses on scene said the complainant was getting aggressive, and no punches were thrown, and the other person was just trying to defuse the situation. Due to the conflicting accounts of the incident, no arrests were made.
TRESPASS WARNING
A homeless person was sleeping in a restroom in the 3600 block of Glenview Road at 7:17 a.m. Oct. 19. They were given a trespass warning not to return.
UNWANTED PERSON
The manager of a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 6:24 p.m. Oct. 20, a customer was being rude to staff, yelling, and knocked down the plastic serving trays. The unknown female, described as in her early 30s, heavy set, wearing a black shirt and black leggings, left in a black vehicle after being told staff were calling the police. The business would like a trespass warning given.
RETAIL THEFT
- Employees of a business in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue called police at 6:39 p.m. Oct. 20, to report a man, described as between the age of 25 and 35, wearing a grey sweatshirt, put a case of tequila in his sweatshirt. The man was stopped by employees at the door, and he gave back the tequila. The man is seen on camera leaving the scene upon police arrival. No complaints to be signed, but they would like a trespass warning to be given if the person is identified.
- An employee of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 7:57 p.m. Oct. 21, to report a heavy set woman, wearing a blue hoodie, black leggings, black/white Jordan shoes, and a black shower cap, smelled of cannabis and went into the restroom. When she exited, she filled a basket with five bottles of liquor, baby wipes, vitamins, and a loaf of bread. She went to the self-checkout, but did not pay for the items. She exited with the items after being confronted by employees and entered a black SUV. Total loss is $274.
ORDINANCE VIOLATION
Police responded to the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue at 6:58 p.m. Oct. 20, for a noise complaint. They found three people sitting on the stoop consuming alcohol. The trio was given a verbal warning for consuming alcohol within 300 feet of a business selling alcohol.
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
A Carriage Hill Drive resident reported at 3 p.m. Oct. 21, receiving a text message from an unrecognized number that said fraudulent activity was found on their account, prompting them to call a phone number for assistance. They called the number and provided them with their bank information, date of birth, and social security number. They later found an unauthorized $1,000 transaction on their bank account. The bank reimbursed the money.
THEFT
A Patriot Boulevard resident reported at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 21, they had attempted to purchase Bears tickets through Facebook from someone for $1,200, which they paid through Apple Pay. He never received the tickets.
