Armed Robbery At T-Mobile Store In Glenview: Police

The gunman who robbed the Waukegan Road store last Tuesday is being sought by Glenview police.

GLENVIEW, IL — Glenview detectives continue to investigate an armed robbery at a cell phone store that was reported last week.

At 6:45 p.m. on May 16, an employee at the T-Mobile store on Waukegan Road reported that a man had entered the store, pointed a handgun and demanded the employee hand over mobile phones.

The initial reported loss was approximately $20,000, although police have not yet finished calculating the exact value of everything that was stolen, according to Glenview Police Sergeant Jim Foley.

The gunman was described as an approximately 40-year-old black man. He appeared to be between five foot, eight inches to five foot, ten inches tall and weigh around 200 pounds, according to police.

The Glenview Criminal Investigations Unit is pursuing a number of active leads in the armed robbery investigation, which is Glenview's fourth of 2017 and the second to target a cell phone shop.
