Hug the Bear: Get a Massage

Once upon a time, before the great recession, I was lucky enough to go along with Mr. Hug-the-Bear on a few fabulous business trips to fancy places. Sometimes I was even fortunate enough to get a massage or a manicure in a posh spa at a four-star hotel.

Well those days are long gone but I am happy to report that we have here, in Glenview, our very own fancy shmancy posh spa that is even nicer than the one I saw in Hawaii at the Four Seasons and no, I am not kidding. That spa is .

They have awesome massage tables (heated when it is chilly!), luxurious lounges (with fluffy robes and cucumber water!), and everything is made out of eco-friendly stuff like bamboo which makes it look even hipper.

Aphora also has a zen-filled yoga studio and classes taught by our favorite north shore yoginis. For the month of July they are running a special and new customers can try out yoga classes for only $10!!

I should also mention they have the nicest manicures/pedicures in town in the most upscale/clean/fancy facility.
