DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Jeffrey Dietrich, 63, of the 8900 block of Gross Point Road, Skokie, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 5:56 p.m. April 19, following the investigation of a traffic crash in the 6800 block of Golf Road. He was released on bond.

TRESPASSING

An employee of a business in the 2000 block of Waukegan reported at 5:03 p.m. April 18, an angry customer who refused to leave the store. Officers gave the customer trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A resident in the 1100 block of Normandy Lane called police at 10:20 p.m. April 18, to report someone threw a rock at a window on their home, smashing the glass.

FORGERY

  • A Monterey Drive reported at 9:42 a.m. April 19, a check mailed from the Glenview U.S. Post Office, 1400 Patriot Blvd., was cashed in a different amount to a different person.
  • A Marie Lane resident called police at 4:06 p.m. April 19, to report a check mailed from the Glenview U.S. Post Office, 1400 Patriot Blvd., was cashed in a different amount to a different person.

STOLEN VEHICLE

  • A Texas resident reported on April 21 that between March 25 and April 2, someone stole their vehicle from the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue.
  • A resident in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police to report that between April 12 and April 22, someone stole their vehicle from the parking lot.
  • A resident in the 1000 block of Castilian Court reported that between April 21 and April 22, someone stole their vehicle from their residential parking lot.

THEFT

A Flora Avenue resident reported at 5:36 p.m. April 21, someone signed for a package that was supposed to be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 2600 block of Independence Avenue called police at 7:28 p.m. April 21, to report someone shattered a window to unlawfully enter their residence and steal items from inside the home.

REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited at 6:12 p.m. April 22, for driving while license revoked, expired registration, no insurance, following a traffic stop in the 900 block of Waukegan Road.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A Des Plaines resident reported at 7:52 p.m. April 24, someone removed the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road.
  • A Vernon Hills resident reported at 7:52 p.m. April 24, someone removed the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road.

ORDINANCE VIOLATION

A business in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue was cited at 8:03 p.m. April 24, under village ordinance for selling or delivery of tobacco products to a minor following the investigation of an incident at the business.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

A Chicago resident was cited at 9:38 p.m April 24, for unlawful possession of cannabis by the driver following a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Lake Avenue.
