Glenview Police Blotter: Nov. 7 - Nov. 13

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

THEFT
On Nov. 7 at 7:06 a.m., a taxi driver in the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue reported that someone left the taxi without paying a $120 fare.

DISPUTE
On Nov. 8 at 12:23 p.m., an employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive told police a customer unhappy with the service refused to leave the business.

TRESPASSING
On Nov. 8 at 5:31 p.m., a resident in the 2100 block of Tuscany Court told police someone was on their property without permission.

UNWANTED SUBJECT
On Nov. 8 at 8:43 p.m., a resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive told police someone was pounding on their front door.

THEFT
On Nov. 9 at 10:17 a.m., a resident in the 1700 block of Pickwick Lane reported someone stole an unknown amount of property and cash from their residence.

FORGERY
On Nov. 9 at 5:28 p.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street reported someone had forged their name on a check in an attempt to withdraw funds from an account, but there was no reported loss.

SUSPICIOUS TELEPHONE CALL
On Nov. 9 at 6:01 p.m., a resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported receiving unwanted telephone calls.

RETAIL THEFT
On Nov. 10 at 3:04 p.m., an employee at a store in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported someone stole several bottles of alcohol from a shelf worth $300 and left without paying for the merchandise.

THEFT
On Nov. 11 at 3:12 a.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Central Road reported someone took a dog worth $2,000 from their backyard.

IDENTITY THEFT
On Nov. 11 at 9;21 a.m., a resident in the 1700 block of Annapolis Drive reported someone used their personal information without authorization in an attempt to open several credit cards, but there was no reported loss.

THEFT
On Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m, a resident in the 1700 block of Longmeadow Drive reported someone stole an unknown amount of personal property from inside their home.

THEFT
On Nov. 12 at 10:17 p.m., a driver in the 4200 block of Commercial Way reported two black tarps worth $650 were stolen from their trailer.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY/CAR THEFT
On Nov. 13 at 5:18 a.m., a resident in the 900 block of Polo Lane reported had stolen a vehicle from inside their attached garage for a $35,000 reported loss.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
On Nov. 13 at noon, an employee in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported having received unwanted telephone calls.

RETAIL THEFT
On Nov. 13 7:02 p.m., an employee at a store in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported someone took $110 worth of cosmetics from a shelf and left without paying for them.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
On Nov. 13 at 8:03 p.m., a resident in the 1700 block of Highland Terrace reported someone entered their house and stole $1,000 worth of personal property.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
On Nov. 13 at 8:38 p.m., a resident in the 2200 block of Birchwood Court reported someone entered their house and stole $2,000 worth of personal property.


ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 25-year-old Glenview man was arrested on Nov. 8 at 8:12 p.m. in the 900 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked driver's and issued a citation for driving without lights when required.

Esteban Morales-Flores, 34, of the 1000 block of North Wheeling Road, Mount Prospect, was arrested on Nov. 9 at 2:38 a.m. in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and a Cook County warrant for forfeiting his bond.

Brian E. Morrow, 51, of the 1400 block of Elizabeth Lane, was arrested Nov. 10 at 7:48 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest in the 1400 block of Elizabeth Lane.

Nicholas R. Goheen, 35, of the 3400 block of Mary Avenue, Park City, was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with two counts of residential burglary, as well as aggravated battery to a police officer and attempting to disarm a police officer in connection with incidents that took place in the 4600 block of Locust Lane and the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue. As of Nov. 15, Goheen was being held without bond at Cook County Jail, according to the Cook County sheriff's office. Glenview police did not immediately respond to a request for more information about the incident that led to his arrest.

Robera Benti, 27, of the 800 block of West Grace Street, Chicago, was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. on Nov. 10 and charged with misdemeanor battery and issued a citation for improper lane usage after being involved in a traffic crash at the intersection of Willow Road and Princeton Lane.

Adam Ostrowski, 55, of the 7300 block of West Howard Street, Niles, was arrested Nov. 10 at 7:45 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence and driving an uninsured vehicle following an investigation in the area of Milwaukee Avenue and Zenith Drive.

A 41-year-old Chicago man was arrested Nov. 10 at 12:05 p.m. and charged with driving without a valid driver's license and issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after he was involved in a traffic crash in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

A 38-year-old Harwood Heights man was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 12 and charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage after he was involved in a traffic crash in the 3300 block of Glenview Road.
