Over $3,000 Lost To Fake Immigration Official: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
CAR BURGLARY
On Oct. 31 at 10:23 a.m., a patron in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot and took a purse from inside for a reported loss of $1,600.

CAR BURGLARY
On Oct. 31 at 2:40 p.m., a contractor in the 2700 Patriot Boulevard reported someone broke a window on his work van and stole tools from inside for a reported loss of $1,100.
DISPUTE
On Oct. 31 at 4:12 p.m., two customers at a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue argued about the presence of a dog inside.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On Oct. 31 at 7:42 p.m., a resident in the 900 block of Queens Lane reported someone threw eggs at their car and garage.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Oct. 31 at 7:50 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Elm Street reported someone put holes in a lawn ornament, doing a reported $200 in damage.
IDENTITY THEFT
On Nov. 1 at 5:43 p.m., a resident in the 400 block of Beech Drive reported someone fraudulently purchased merchandise using their credit card, but there was no reported loss.
IDENTITY THEFT
On Nov. 1 at 4:29 p.m., a resident in the 800 block of Lenox Road reported someone intercepted a newly issued credit card during the delivery process, but there was no reported loss.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
On Nov. 1 at 5:45 p.m., an employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone was at the business who was not allowed on the premises.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
On Nov. 2 at 4:34 p.m., a resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported receiving unwanted telephone calls.
THEFT BY DECEPTION
On Nov. 2 at 6:43 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Neva Avenue reported losing more than $3,000 after getting a call from someone purporting to be from the Immigration and Naturalization Service who demanded money and personal information.
RETAIL THEFT
On Nov. 2 at 10:58 p.m., an employee in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported someone used a coupon to fraudulently purchase gift cards.
THEFT
On Nov. 3 at 6:47 a.m., a resident in the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported someone stole an unlocked vehicle that had been left in his driveway with the keys inside.
THEFT
On Nov. 3 at noon, a contractor in the 1000 block of Woodlawn Road reported someone removed signs from a construction site for a loss of $180.
IDENTITY THEFT
On Nov. 3 at 5:06 p.m., a resident in the 1600 block of Monterey Drive reported receiving an email from a fraudulent PayPal website requesting personal and credit card information, but there was no reported loss.
DISPUTE
On Nov. 4 at 4:05 p.m., an employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported a customer caused a disturbance in the business.
BURGLARY
On Nov. 5 at 8:06 p.m., a patron in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked in the parking lot and took a backpack for a reported loss of $50.
TRESPASSING
On Nov. 5 at 9:07 p.m., a resident in the 900 block of Church Street reported someone was on their property without permission.
UNWANTED PERSON
On Nov. 6 at 12:37 a.m., an employee at a hotel in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue reported someone came into the lobby and did not want a room but would not leave.
THEFT
On Nov. 6 at 2:44 a.m., a resident in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone took their purse from a room for a reported loss of $43.
UNWANTED SUBJECT
On Nov. 6 at 8:19 a.m., an employee in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue reported someone was on the property causing a disturbance.
RETAIL THEFT
On Nov. 6 at 10:59 a.m., an employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported someone removed $176 worth of jewelry from a display and left the store without paying for it.
RETAIL THEFT
On Nov. 6 at 11:50 a.m., an employee at a store in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that someone took $50 worth of electronics off a shelf and left without paying.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING / ATTEMPTED RUSE
On Nov. 6 at 1:42 p.m., a resident in the 3800 block of Grace Lane reported someone fraudulently posing as a contractor entered the house but there was no reported loss.
THEFT
On Nov. 6 at 2:55 p.m., an employee in the 700 block of Wagner Road reported someone stole a telephone worth $700 from the front porch.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
On Nov. 6 at 4:15 p.m., a resident in the 500 block of Warren Road reported receiving unwanted telephone calls.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Cesar Solis, 38, of the 1200 block of 12th Street, Northfield, was arrested Nov. 3 at 9:23 p.m. and charged with retail theft in the 1900 block of Tower Drive.
A 23-year-old Elkhart, Indiana man was arrested at 12:57 a.m. on Nov. 3 in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving without a valid license. He was also issued a ticket for failure to signal when required.
Colin Beucher, 33, of the 2400 block of Swainwood Drive was arrested Nov. 3 at 2:26 a.m. at his home and charged with domestic battery.
Robert Lombardo, 41, of the 1400 block of Maple Avenue, was arrested on Nov. 4 at 10:10 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while BAC greater than .08, and speeding more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
