Carey Lohrenz, First Female F-14 Tomcat Pilot in U.S. Navy, Inspired Local Businesswomen at Astellas-sponsored Executive Women's Day during Encompass Championship

Local businesswomen gain insights and inspiration at Executive Women's Day sponsored by Astellas Pharma US during Encompass Championship

As many of the world’s top Champions Tour professionals prepare to showcase their skills at the Encompass Championship, aviation pioneer Carey Lohrenz inspired more than 100 local businesswomen as the keynote speaker at the second annual Champions Tour Executive Women’s Day sponsored by Astellas Pharma US, Inc. This popular business forum brought together women from the greater Chicago area for an engaging daylong event focused on professional development, networking and health and wellness. Executive Women’s Day was held on July 7, 2015, at North Shore Country Club, host of the Encompass Championship.

The event featured a panel discussion moderated by ABC7 meteorologist Tracy Butler, networking sessions and a behind-the-scenes tournament tour.

Lohrenz has experience operating in one of the world’s most challenging environments imaginable: the cockpit at Mach 2. Having flown missions worldwide as a combat-mission-ready U.S. Navy pilot, Lohrenz is used to working in fast moving, dynamic environments, where inconsistent execution can generate catastrophic results.
