GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by Glenview police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. SHOPLIFTING
- An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road shortly before noon on July 24 that someone had stolen $30 worth of alcohol from a shelf and left the store.
- An employee in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported around 3 p.m. on July 24 that someone had stolen several cases of Red Bull worth $457 and left the store.
- An employee of a store in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 4:22 p.m. on July 24 that someone had stolen backpacks worth $340 from a shelf.
- An employee of a store in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 4:41 p.m. on July 26 that three unidentified people came into the store, grabbed dozens of Nike brand shirts worth $2,500 and ran out.
- An employee in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 9:31 a.m. on July 30 that someone had taken pots from the store without paying their full retail value for a loss of less than $50.
- An employee in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 6:27 p.m. on July 30 that two unidentified people had stolen $1,000 Nike and Under Armour apparel from racks and ran out of the store without paying.

- A resident in the 2500 block of Astor Court reported at 9:45 a.m. on July 24 that someone had entered two vehicles parked on her driveway during the overnight hours and stole $5 inside.
- A resident in the 2700 block of Landwehr Road reported at 6:14 p.m. on July 24 that someone had gotten into an unlocked car that had been parked in a driveway during the previous overnight hours and stole a laptop and wallet valued at $525 from inside.
- A resident in the 2700 block of Landwehr Road reported at 6:14 p.m. on July 24 that someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took gift cards and money from inside. The reported loss is $800.00.
- A resident in the 4000 block of Miller Drive reported at 11:12 a.m. on July 27 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway during the overnight hours and stole $2 from inside.
- A resident in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported at 11:15 a.m. on July 30 that someone had entered an unlocked car that had been parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and stole sunglasses and documents from inside for a loss of $120.
PACKAGE THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Mint Lane reported at 9:10 p.m. on July 24 that a package worth $325 had been stolen from their porch.
STOLEN CAR
A resident in the 1800 block of Westleigh Drive reported on the morning of July 25 that someone had stolen a $29,000 BMW X1 that had been left unlocked with a key fob inside while parked inside a garage during the previous overnight hours.
VEHICULAR TRESPASSING
A resident in the 1300 block of Pendleton Lane reported shortly after 7 a.m. on July 25 someone had entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway during the prior overnight hours and rummaged through it, emptying the contents of its glove box and center console around its interior without stealing anything.
THEFT OF LOST OR UNATTENDED PROPERTY
A customer in the 2400 block of Sanders Road reported at 11:53 a.m. on July 25 that someone had taken a telephone worth $500 that had inadvertently been left in a bathroom.
BATTERY
A resident in the 600 block of Lehigh Avenue reported at 6:34 p.m. on July 25 that they had been punched in an arm and "doused" with beer following a dispute.
TRESPASSING
A resident in the 3100 block of Landwehr Road reported at 12:15 a.m. on July 27 that two people were on their property without permission.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 2300 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 8:48 a.m. on July 29 that someone had used their credit card number to make four fraudulent purchases for a loss of $725.
THEFT
A customer in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 8:49 p.m. on July 29 that someone had stolen their wallet from a shopping cart for a loss of $100.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:29 a.m. on July 30 that someone had done $1,500 in damage to their vehicle by scratching its paint with a sharp object.
THEFT
A construction worker in the 1800 block of Henley Street reported at 1:09 p.m. on July 30 that a saw and drill worth $1,650 had been stolen from a work site.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 3200 block of Merle Lane reported at 10:17 a.m. on July 31 they had gotten unwanted text messages.
PACKAGE THEFT
A resident in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street reported at 12:55 p.m. on July 31 that someone had stolen a package worth $6 from their mailbox.
THEFT
A resident in the 100 block of Elm Street reported at 1:48 p.m. on July 31 that someone stole a box containing a passport and jewelry from their house for a loss of $2,000.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
An employee in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 3 p.m. on July 31 that a $5,800 in damage was done to a sign on a wall of the business was damaged.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 100 block of Elm Street reported at 2:48 a.m. on Aug. 1 that they had been awakened to someone yelling and banging on the front door, demanding to be let in the home.
CAR BURGLARY
A motorist in the 1700 block of Henley Street reported at 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 1 that someone had got their unlocked vehicle parked on the street and stole of cameras, a watch and some artwork from inside valued at $14,000.
LOLLAPALOOZA SCAMS
- A resident in the 1300 block of Pfingsten Road around noon on Aug. 1 that they had paid $620 to purchase a pair of tickets to Lollapalooza from someone on Craigslist but never received them.
- A resident in the 400 block of Warren Road reported at 2:46 a.m. on Aug. 2 that they had paid $170 to buy a ticket to Lollapalooza via a Facebook post but never received it.
- A resident in the 700 block of Hunter Road reported at 11:43 a.m. on Aug. 2 that they had paid $335 to purchase a ticket to Lollapalooza from a Facebook group but never received the ticket.
- A resident in the 4600 block of Linden Avenue reported at 1:23 p.m. on Aug. 2 that they had tried to buy a Lollapalooza ticket via Craigslist. They reportedly became suspicious and tried to cancel the transaction for a loss of $90.
THEFT
A resident in the 1400 block of Sequoia Trail reported at 8:38 p.m. on Aug. 1 that someone had taken jewelry and flatware from their home valued at $10,500.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 900 block of Meadowlark Lane reported at 8:38 p.m. on Aug. 1 that someone had done $7,000 to their car by scratching the paint on its side panels during the previous overnight hours.
THEFT OF LOST OR UNATTENDED ITEMS
A customer at a business in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 9:52 p.m. on Aug. 1 that someone had taken an iPhone worth $1,000 that had been left in a bathroom.
BATTERY
A pair of independent contractors working in the 2000 block of Wagner Road reported at 9:33 a.m. on Aug. 2 that they were battered by one other during an argument.
IDENTITY THEFT
A West Ridgewood Lane resident reported on the afternoon of Aug. 2 that someone had accessed their credit card account to make a fraudulent transfer of more than $2,000 to another bank account.
IDENTITY THEFT
An Indian Road resident at 4:48 p.m. on Aug. 2 that someone had used their credit card to fraudulently purchase more than $3,000 worth of merchandise from several retailers.
STOLEN CAR
A resident in the 2800 block of Harrison Street reported at 6:53 a.m. on Aug. 3 that an unlocked black Lincoln Navigator that had been parked on the driveway was stolen during the overnight hours. The SUV was found on the night of Aug. 6 in the 1500 block of North Pulaski Avenue in Chicago.
CAR BURGLARY
A resident in the 500 block of Sheryl Lane reported at 7:06 a.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had gotten into their unlocked vehicle on the driveway and stolen $60 in money and credit cards from inside.
VEHICULAR TRESPASSING
- A resident in the 2800 block of Harrison Street reported around 8 a.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had entered and rummaged through their unlocked vehicle while it had been parked on the driveway without taking anything.
- A resident in the 400 block of Sheryl Lane reported at 7:52 a.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle on the driveway during the overnight hours and rummaged through the glove box without taking anything.
- A visitor in the 900 block of Prairie Lawn Road reported shortly before 8 a.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had gotten into their unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway during the overnight hours and rummaged through it without taking anything.
- A resident in the 600 block of Huber Lane reported at 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through its glove box but had not taken anything.
CAR BURGLARY
A resident in the 3900 block of Chester Drive reported around 1 p.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had broken a window on a vehicle parked in the driveway during the afternoon hours and stolen jewelry and clothing worth $1,500 from inside.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A pedestrian in the 2400 block of Ravine Way reported at 8:08 p.m. on Aug. 3 that someone had spray painted the concrete foundation of a bridge, doing $50 in damage.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue reported around 1 a.m. on Aug. 4 that someone had done $300 in damage to the front door of their residence.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Carriage Hill Drive resident reported at 10:51 a.m. on Aug. 4 that someone had fraudulently used their credit card number to buy $1,000 worth of merchandise at a department store.
CAR BURGLARY
A customer in the 3600 block of Glenview Road reported at 1:46 p.m. on Aug. 4 that someone had smashed a window on their vehicle during the afternoon hours and stole a purse from inside for a loss of $2,200.
THREAT
An Ammer Ridge Court resident reported at 4:31 a.m. on Aug. 6 that someone had called and threatened to get someone to shoot him over a disagreement regarding a purchase.
THEFT
A customer in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 10:26 a.m. on Aug. 6 that someone had stolen a $15,500 watch from an unattended golf bag.
CAR BURGLARY
A customer in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:44 p.m. on Aug. 6 that someone had gotten into an unlocked vehicle parked in a lot and stolen a bag containing cash from inside for a loss of $715.44.
THEFT
A shopper in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 10:23 a.m. on Aug. 6 they had dropped a jacket worth $200 on the store’s floor and found it was missing.
CAR BURGLARY
A customer in the 200 block of Greenwood Road reported at 5:42 p.m. on Aug. 6 that someone had smashed a front passenger side window of their car and stolen a purse from inside for a reported loss of more than $1,100.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 3600 block of Maple Leaf Drive reported around 3 a.m. on Aug. 7 that they had gotten unwanted telephone and texts messages.
ARRESTS
A 21-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on July 23 and charged with driving without a valid license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to yield turning left following an investigation into a traffic crash in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
[Name Withheld], 40, of the 1400 block of Magnolia Street in Glenview, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. on July 24 in the 1400 block of Magnolia Street and charged with domestic battery.
Lorna Reyes, 53, of the 100 block of Waukegan Road in Glenview, was arrested at 1:22 a.m. on July 26 in the 100 block of Waukegan Road and charged with domestic battery.
Tiffin Joseph, 20, of the 9100 block of West Church Street in Des Plaines, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. on July 26 in the 1800 block of Tower Drive and charged with one count of felony theft.
Carmen Jazairli, 47, of the 6600 block of North Kenneth Avenue in Lincolnwood, was arrested shortly before 6 a.m. on July 27 in the 1600 block of Pickwick Lane and charged with criminal trespassing.
Sharaa Tagtaa, 42, of the 6300 block of North Monticello Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 10:28 p.m. on July 28 and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above and driving without a valid driver's license following a traffic stop in the 4200 block of West Lake Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
Lindsay Orsi, 36, of the 700 block of 7th Street in Northfield, was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. on July 29 and charged with battery following an argument in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road.
Brandon Agunloye, 30, of the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview, was arrested at 7:06 a.m. on Aug. 1 in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue after an investigation of a suspicious vehicle. He was found to have a pair of active arrest warrants for failure to appear in DuPage County court in connection with unspecified charges and was transferred to the custody of DuPage County sheriff’s police.
Jacek Skalski, 45, of the 0-100 Plum Tree Court in Streamwood, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. on Aug. 2 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above after an investigation of a citizen complaint of an unconscious man in a truck in the 3400 block of Knollwood Lane. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper parking on the roadway.
