Cop Battered By Northbrook Man, Niles Duo Flees Police: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. TRESPASSING
An employee in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road reported someone was on the premises without permission at 6:50 a.m. on Aug. 1.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A passerby reported graffiti was spray-painted on the concrete overflow wall in the 2000 block of Ravine Way at 9:34 a.m. on Aug. 1. The estimated repair cost was $500.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY
A patron in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported someone punched him fracturing his jaw at 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 2.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1300 block of Evergreen Court reported someone used their credit card number to order car and entertainment services. The reported loss is $135.00 On 8/2/17 at 1223 hours
IDENTITY THEFT
A customer in the 800 block of Waukegan Road reported someone made unauthorized charges to their debit card at 11:20 a.m. on Aug. 2. The reported loss was $190.
THEFT
A resident in the 2300 block of Iroquois Drive reported someone took $1,500 worth of jewelry and office equipment from their house at 2:26 p.m. on Aug. 2.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 900 block of Wedgewood Drive reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and stole a briefcase containing $1,520 worth of electronic equipment at 8:25 a.m. on Aug. 2.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 900 block of Wedgewood Drive reported on Aug. 3 at 8:35 a.m. that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and scattered the contents of the glove box. There is no reported loss.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
An employee in the 2500 block of Compass Road reported receiving unwanted telephone calls around 1 p.m. on Aug. 3.
BATTERY
A patron in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported another customer slapped them in the face at 1:56 p.m. on Aug. 3.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Mickey Lane reported someone used a newly their issued credit card at a nail salon in Chicago for a reported loss of $400 on Aug. 3 at 2:20 p.m.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported someone bought $3,200 in merchandise with a stolen or forged credit card at 3:06 p.m. on Aug. 3.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 1200 block of Longmeadow Drive reported on Aug. 3 at 5:36 p.m. that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and stole $15 worth of personal property.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident reported on Aug. 4 at 7:34 a.m. that someone had broken a window in a gazebo in the 1700 block of Fielding Drive. The estimated repair cost was $1,000.
TELEPHONE/ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
An employee in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road reported receiving unwanted telephone calls and text messages at 1:32 p.m. on Aug. 4.
COUNTERFEIT GOODS
On Aug. 5 at 11:27 a.m., an employee in the 1700 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered the store and attempted to sell fraudulent coins.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported someone put merchandise into a bag and walked out of the store without paying for it at 4:13 p.m. on Aug. 5.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 200 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered an unlocked shed in their yard and stole a bicycle on Aug. 6 at 9:23 a.m. The reported loss was $50.
UNWANTED SUBJECT
On Aug. 6 at 8:49 p.m., an employee in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a guest was arguing and being disruptive.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
A resident in the 1200 block of Heather Lane gave $2,300 to someone who called pretending to be a relative, stated they were in jail and asked for bond money. Police were told on Aug. 7 at 2:03 p.m.
HARASSMENT
An employee in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road reported receiving unwanted gifts at 2:11 p.m. on Aug. 7.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 200 block of Nora Avenue reported receiving unwanted text messages at 3:38 p.m. on Aug. 7.
SOLICITOR COMPLAINT
A resident in the 2100 block of McArthur Drive reported someone was soliciting without a permit shortly before 7 p.m. on Aug. 7.
IDENTITY THEFT
A customer in the 1200 block of Milwaukee reported at 8:19 p.m. on Aug. 7 that someone had used their credit card to purchase $1,600 worth of merchandise on-line without authorization.
ARRESTS
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 57-year-old Glenview man was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and cited for operating a vehicle with expired registration in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road shortly before 11 p.m. on July 31.
DUI
Timothy Netzel, 23, of the 3000 block of Knollwood Lane, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for speeding, improper lane usage and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3600 block of Glenview Road shortly before 10 p.m on Aug. 2.
WARRANT ARREST
John Galloway, Jr. 23, of the 5500 block of North Sheridan Road in Chicago, was arrested because of an active bond forfeiture warrant, for an underlying retail theft charge, in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue at 5:39 p.m.m on Aug. 4.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 41-year-old Oak Park man was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Waukegan Road on Aug. 4 at 10:37 p.m.
SPEEDING
An 18-year-old Glenview man was charged with speeding (26-34mph Over Limit) after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of East Lake Avenue at 8:21 p.m. on Aug. 5.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Jorge Lugo-Carrillo, M, 24, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk in Northbrook, was charged with aggravated battery, battery and resisting arrest of a peace officer after a disturbance in the 4600 block of West Lake Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. on Aug. 6.
AGGRAVATED FLEEING/ELUDING
On Aug. 6 at 11:50 p.m., Christian Lopez, 21, and Brandon Lopez, 18, both of the 8300 block of North Ozanam Avenue in Niles, were both charged with aggravated fleeing or eluding (21 mph Over Limit), speeding (26-30 mph over limit), improper display of registration, expired Registration and no proof of insurance in the 1200 block of Greenwood Road. Brandon was also charged with driving on a suspended license.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
Nicholas Hart, 21, of the 4300 block of West Lake Avenue, was charged with trespassing in the 100 block of Astellas Way at 1:28 a.m. on Aug. 7.
