Counterfeit Cash, Drunken Disorder At Hotels, Golf Club: Blotter

Incidents and arrests from the Glenview Police Department blotter from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by Glenview police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

INCIDENTS

CAR BURGLARIES

  • A resident in the 900 block of Raleigh Road reported that someone got into an unlocked car parked in their driveway between 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 9:40 a.m. on Oct. 30 and stole an accessory worth $40 from inside.
  • A resident in the 1300 block of Royal Oak Lane reported on Oct. 31 that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway between noon on Oct. 27 and 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 31 and rummaged through the glove compartment. Nothing was missing at the time of the report.
  • A resident in the 1400 block of Royal Oak Lane reported someone rummaged through the interior of an unlocked car parked in a driveway between 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 1 p.m. on Nov. 1.

COUNTERFEIT CASH
Staff in the 1800 block of 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 30 that someone had used a fake $100 bill to rent a room.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Staff in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 2 p.m. on Oct. 30 that someone was running up and down a hallway, banging on doors and yelling at people.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported around 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 30 that someone stole a blanket and several DVDs worth a combined $53.

TRESPASSING
A resident in the 1400 block of Royal Oak Lane reported around on Nov. 1 that someone had rummaged through the interior of a vehicle parked in a driveway between

BIKE THEFT
A customer in the 1700 block of Sunset Ridge Road reported around 3 p.m. on Nov. 1 that someone had stolen an unlocked bicycle worth $100 from a rack.

BATTERY
A shopper at a business in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported around 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 that a shopper struck them on the back after a dispute.

THEFT/BURGLARY
A resident in the 900 block of Leamington Avenue reported around 10 a.m. on Nov. 2 that someone stole more than $4,000 worth of clothing and jewelry from their home.

PICKPOCKETING
An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported around 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 2 that someone stole a wallet from their purse for a loss of $300.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES

  • A customer in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported someone scratched the front and rear passenger side doors of their vehicle while it was parked in the lot between 5:10 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 2, causing $400 in damage.
  • An employee in the 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard reported someone did $100 in damage to their vehicle while it was parked in a rear lot between 7:45 and 10 a.m. on Nov. 3.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO CHAIR
A staffer at a golf club in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue reported around 11 p.m. on Nov. 3 that an intoxicated person caused $100 in damage to a chair by throwing it.

THEFT
A resident in the 1900 block of Glenview Road reported around 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 5 someone took a bag of clothing from the front porch without permission. The reported value of the property is $50.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO MAILBOX
A resident in the 1800 block of Monroe Avenue reported around 2 p.m. on Nov. 5 that someone did $500 in damage to a mailbox between 10 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 4.

BURGLARY
A resident in the 2700 block of Summit Drive reported around 5 p.m. on Nov. 5 that someone stole a package of unknown value from a mail room.

PASSPORT THEFT
A guest in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 2 a.m. on Nov. 6 that someone stole a passport from a purse that had been left unattended.


ARRESTS

Jeffrey March, 52, of the 200 block of Prairie Avenue, Highwood, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Northbrook Police Department on a Cook County warrant in connection with a retail theft charge over an Oct. 14 incident involving a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. March had been at the Northbrook police station for an unrelated matter and was taken to a bond hearing Oct. 30.

Adriana Szutkiewicz, 20, of the 6300 block of Hyacinth Street, Chicago, was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. in the 9600 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of drugs. She was also ticketed for speeding.

Abel Reyes, 18, of the 800 block of Seward Street, Evanston, was arrested in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give aid or information and driving without a valid driver's license following an investigation into a hit-and-run traffic crash in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue. He was also ticketed for failure to yield while turning left.

Joshua Bracy, 18, of the 9500 block of Dee Road, Des Plaines, was arrested around 5:15 a.m. on Nov. 2 in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road and charged with two counts of domestic battery as well as obstructing identification. His arrest followed an investigation into a report of a battery the 800 block of 8th Street in Northfield.

Miguel Cintron, 43, of the 300 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Nov. 2 in the 2200 block of Willow Road and charged with retail theft and resisting arrest. He also had an active arrest warrant issued by Lake County for failure to appear in court in connection with a previous retail theft charge.

Mitchell Saviola, 27, of the 100 block of Waukegan Road, Glenview, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 2 in his block of residence and charged with battery in connection with an incident that took place in the 1500 block of East Lake Avenue.

Amartuvshin Zorig, 26, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, was arrested shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 3 in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI – alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more and speeding 35 or more above the limit.

A 28-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 3 and charged with no valid driver's license following an investigation into a traffic crash in the 3800 block of Willow Road.

Vanesa Magdaleno, 35, of the 7700 block of North Nordica Avenue, Niles, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 3 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a complaint of an intoxicated driver in the 1900 block of East Lake Avenue. She was also issued a citation for driving without lights when required.

Marcelino Najera, 45, of the 4100 block of Williamsburg Court, Glenview, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 3 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage.

Jan Wisniowski, 60, of the first block of East Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Nov. 4 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI – alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage.
