Customer Consumes 'On The Rocks' Drinks Without Paying: Blotter
Officers spoke to the Wilmette resident and issued them a village ordinance citation for theft: Glenview Police Blotter.

Adam Palmerin, 38, of Merrillville, Indiana, is accused of attempted retail theft, possession of theft detection device remover, and was arrested at 12:54 p.m. May 22, following an incident at a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive. He was released on an I-Bond with a court date set for June 27.

Alexander Jackson, 28, of the 60 block of Wolf Road, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding, and was arrested at 10:13 p.m. May 17, following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Glenview Road. He was released after posting $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of June 8.
A resident in the 3700 block of Glenview Road reported at 9:09 a.m. May 17, they parked their vehicle in front of their residence on the street. When they returned to their vehicle, their neighbor’s vehicle was backed up so it was touching their vehicle.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Glenview resident called police at 12:12 p.m. May 17, to report someone used their credit card to charge $4036.10 at a Veterinarian’s Office in Atlanta and $292.54 at Game Truck in North Atlanta.
- A Chicago resident reported at 11:45 p.m. May 20, while at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road, someone stole three credit cards and $80 in currency from their wallet. The credit cards were used, by the offender, shortly thereafter at Target and Walmart.
- A Glenview resident called police at 2:26 p.m. May 23, to report a check for $8,100, made out to someone, was cashed from their checking account on March 17.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A McHenry resident reported at 3:32 p.m. May 17, someone damaged the rear passenger window of their vehicle while it was parked in the 2300 block of Patriot Boulevard.
RETAIL THEFT
An associate at a business in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road reported at 4:12 p.m. May 17, a Wilmette resident was consuming “On The Rocks” alcoholic beverages in the store without paying for them. Officers spoke to the resident and issued them a Village Ordinance Citation for Theft.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Chicago resident was cited for no valid driver's license, improper lighting (one headlamp), at 9:58 p.m. May 17, following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Greenwood Road. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date July 1 assigned.
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE
- A Villa Park resident was cited at 7:54 p.m. May 17, for driving while license suspended, no seat belt, following a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on a $2,500 bond and were assigned a court date of June 8.
- A Prospect Heights resident was cited at 7:20 p.m. May 18, for driving while license suspended, no seat belt, following a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on $2,500 bond and were assigned a court date of June 8.
THEFT
- A Glenview resident reported that between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. May 18, their bicycle was stolen from their front yard in the 1500 block of Basswood Court.
- A Glenview resident called police at 5:42 p.m. May 18, to report they received a message on their computer advising them to call a number because their personal information had been compromised. The victim called the number and spoke to someone who asked them to share their screen with him. The male advised the victim to purchase two $300 Target gift cards to pay him, which they did. The victim said the suspect requested additional gift cards and at this point, they realized it was a scam.
- A Glenview resident reported at 7:12 p.m. May 18, they received a Facebook message from a friend recommending they add another person as a friend. They added the person and were advised to send several cashier’s checks in order to receive a lump sum of grant money. They sent numerous cashier's checks for a total of $23,500 before realizing they had been scammed.
- A Glenview resident reported at 8:55 a.m. May 22, their dog walker stole $1,450, a pair of blue jeans and various cosmetics from their residence over the past month.
- A resident of Menasha, Wisconsin, reported at 12:05 p.m. May 23, they left their cellular phone in the bathroom stall at a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road. When they returned to retrieve the phone, it was missing.
- A Glenview resident called police at 3:14 p.m. May 23, to report they received an e-mail from someone advising them they owed $600 for the purchase of three gift cards. The victim sent $400 through Zelle payments before realizing it was a scam.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 4100 block of Essex Court called police on May 18 to report that on April 25, someone placed a plastic bag with dog feces in one of their shoes that was on a shoe rack outside their residence.
SPEEDING
- A person was cited at 6:31 p.m. May 18, for speeding 35+mph over the speed limit following a traffic stop in 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on a $2,500.00 I-Bond and were assigned a court date of June 8.
- A Glenview resident was cited at 7:35 p.m. May 22, for Speeding 26+mph over the speed limit following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released after posting bond and were assigned a court date of June 23.
- A Chicago resident was cited at 11:40 p.m. May 22, for speeding 26 mph over the speed limit, following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released after posting bond and were assigned a court date of June 13.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
A resident from North Oaks, Minnesota, reported that during the overnight hours of May 19, someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
ORDINANCE VIOLATION
A refused complainant reported at 8:27 a.m. May 21, loud noises coming from early
construction in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road. Officers issued the offender a Village
Ordinance citation for violation of construction hours.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Ridge Drive called police to report that during the overnight hours of May 21, someone stole their vehicle while it was parked in the business’ parking lot.
FRAUD
A Glenview resident reported at 6:06 p.m. May 22, male called and identified himself as a Niles fraud officer. The suspect asked the victim for their debit card number. The offender then withdrew $290 from the victim’s bank account.
