VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Anthony Bova, 46, of Glenview, is accused of domestic battery, violation of an order of protection, and was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Feb. 22, at the Glenview Police Department following an investigation of an incident that occurred on Feb. 16. He was held for a bond hearing.

  • Steven Jahnke, 67, of the 800 block of Huber Lane, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more speeding, and was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Feb. 22, in the 2300 block of East Lake Avenue. He was released on an I-Bond and assigned a court date of April 1.
  • Nancy Camargo-Medina, 21, of the 600 block of Newport Drive, Island Lake, is accused of driving in the wrong lane, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Feb. 19, in the 1900 block of Willow Road. She was released on an I-Bond and assigned a court date of March 15.
  • Erin Ruecker, 66, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding, no valid insurance, and was arrested at 3:21 a.m. Feb. 20, in the 100 block of Harlem Avenue. She was released on an I-Bond and assigned a court date of March 15.
  • Sonja Ballard, 78, of the 1800 block of Wildberry Drive, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 14, at Wildberry Drive and Valley Lo Lane. She was released on an I-Bond with a court date set for April 1.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Brenda Gutierrez-Carbajal, 38, of the 600 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of no valid driver's license, no rear taillights, and was arrested at 11 p.m. Feb. 20, in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue. Gutierrez-Carbajal was issued an I-Bond with a follow-up court date set for March 30.

A business owner in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 12:17 p.m. Feb. 15, a customer left the store with food items without paying for them.

SPEEDING

A Des Plaines resident was cited for speeding 35+ mph over the speed limit following a traffic stop at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 15, in the 2600 block of Willow Road. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for March 29.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A manager for a business in the 2000 block of Tower Drive reported at 10:50 a.m. Feb. 19, a
customer became upset over the mask policy. The customer shouted at staff and poked their
finger at the clear plastic barrier. The customer was issued a trespass notice.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

  • A person called police at 12:55 p.m. Feb. 19, to report someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the 3800 block of Willow Road and removed a bag containing a credit card. The credit card was used for a purchase in another town.
  • A person reported at 12:13 p.m. Feb. 21, someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the 3800 block of Willow Road and removed a bag containing a credit card.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 3:17 p.m. Feb. 19, someone damaged the stone/bug deflector on the front hood of their vehicle.

THEFT OF LOST PROPERTY

A resident of Brookline, Massachusetts, reported at 8:50 p.m. Feb. 20, while shopping at a business in the 1200 Milwaukee Ave, their cell phone was stolen from the women’s washroom.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Glenview resident called police at 3:46 p.m. Feb. 21, to report their credit card was used to purchase unknown jewelry. The resident contacted the bank and cancelled the purchase.
  • A Glenview resident reported at 3:53 p.m. Feb. 21, someone accessed their e-mail account and cryptocurrency account in order to steal cryptocurrency out of the account.

THEFT

  • A Glenview resident called police at 5:24 p.m. Feb. 21, to report receiving an e-mail addressed from their friend, stating they were in financial trouble and needed a gift card sent to them. The resident sent a gift card to the e-mail address and then learned it was a scam.
  • A Glenview resident reported at 8:22 p.m. Feb. 21, two packages were stolen from the 1500 block of Primrose sometime between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21.
