Glenview's Oil Lamp Theater secures larger space for new home (chicagotribune.com) — Oil Lamp Theater is planning a big move within Glenview, shifting from Glenview Road into the former Ten Ninety Brewing Co. building on Waukegan Road, with an opening goal of 2028. The new space will roughly double seating, improve parking and visibility, and support a larger range of productions while keeping the theater's intimate, community-centered feel.

Anchored by Target and home to Aldi, Kohl's, Planet Fitness, Northwestern Medicine, and several restaurants, the center's new ownership could shape future retail and service options for local shoppers.
   

4. The Biggest Upset at the U.S. Open (And Hardly Anyone Saw It!) (worldtennismagazine.com) — Glenview's own Nikita Filin helped pull off one of the U.S. Open's biggest surprises, teaming with fellow Ohio State player Brandon Carpico to upset the No. 8 men's doubles seeds in New York. The American wild-card duo, both ranked well outside the top 700 in doubles, rallied in three sets, earning praise from their college coach for seizing a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
