GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Michael Wilson, 72, of the 900 block of Glendale Road, Glenview, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, expired registration, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 10:28 p.m. May 26, after a traffic crash investigation in the 300 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond.

Miguel Ascencio Razo, 38, of the 4900 block of Fletcher Street, Chicago, is accused of battery, and was arrested at noon on May 24. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident reported on May 12 at a business in the 1900 block of Lehigh Avenue. He was released on bond.

RETAIL THEFT

Teresa Gray, 42, of the 9400 block of Waukegan Road, Morton Grove, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 4:41 p.m. May 25, following the investigation of an incident at a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road. Gray was released on bond for the retail theft charge and transferred to the custody of the Will County Sheriff’s Office due to a valid, no bond, failure to appear Warrant.

PAROLE VIOLATION

Ramiro Cazares, 27, of the 6100 block of Barry Avenue, Chicago, had a warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation, and was arrested at 4:51 p.m. May 25, following the investigation of an incident at a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road. He was turned over to the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections.

INCIDENTS

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • A Des Plaines resident was cited at 10:17 p.m. May 23, for having a suspended driver’s license, uninsured motor vehicle, and suspended registration following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A Glenview resident was cited at 2:16 a.m. May 27, for having a suspended driver's license, possession of a suspended license, after a traffic stop in the 200 block of Greenwood Road.
  • A Glenview resident was cited at 12:27 a.m. May 28 for suspended driver’s license, expired registration, and uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop near East Lake Avenue and Greenwood Road.

TRESPASSING

An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that at 2:30 p.m. May 23, a store customer removed an item from a product for sale, placed it in their pocket and left the store without paying for the item. Officers spoke with the customer, who admitted to stealing the item and agreed to return it to the store. Officers gave the customer trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.

BATTERY

  • An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 9:53 a.m. May 26, to report a customer would not leave the store after causing a scene and struck an employee. Officers gave the customer a trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.
  • A Chicago resident reported at 4:14 p.m. May 27, being spit in the face by a resident during a traffic dispute near Dewes Street and Harlem Avenue.

IDENTITY THEFT

An Indigo Lane resident called police to report that on May 25, a suspect known only as “Gene” called them and offered a refund due to slow internet speed. The resident provided personal information to receive the refund.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Old Willow Road reported at 2:52 p.m. May 27, a customer switching price tags on merchandise to pay less. The customer denied the actions and was trespassed from the store.
  • An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 5:20 p.m. May 27, to report two male subjects, wearing surgical masks, placed many cosmetic items for sale into bags and left the store without paying for them.
  • An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:47 p.m. May 27, two male subjects, wearing surgical masks, placed many cosmetic items for sale into bags and left the store without paying for them.
  • An employee of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 8:02 a.m. May 29, a female subject stole multiple medication and household supply items from the store. A similar subject committed retail thefts at Jewel stores in Deerfield and Buffalo Grove.
  • A Des Plaines resident was cited at 11:59 a.m. May 29, under village ordinance for theft following the investigation of an incident at a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. Officers gave them trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.
