Demolition Company Reports Theft Of Supplies: Glenview Police Blotter

  • Shannon Glynn, 33, of the 2300 block of Malik Court, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, driver's license not on person, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 8:10 p.m. April 28, following a traffic crash investigation in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue. She was released on bond.
  • Doris Portugal, 44, of the 1200 block of Longmeadow Drive, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, endangering the life of a child, and was arrested at 9:18 p.m. April 28, in the 2100 block of East Lake Avenue.
  • Alfredo Jaimes-Salgado, 26, of the 200 block of Norman Lane, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence while license suspended for DUI, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 1:59 a.m. April 30, in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

RETAIL THEFT

Sherri Hansen, 51, of the 6700 block of N. Oshkosh, Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 1:01 p.m. April 30, following the investigation of an incident at a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard. She was released on bond.

INCIDENTS

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 4500 block of Larch Avenue reported that between April 24 and April 25, someone entered their attached garage and stole landscaping equipment.

SPEEDING

A Harwood Heights resident was cited at 1:14 a.m. April 26, for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit), following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue.

BURGLARY

Employees of a demolition business called police on April 27 to report the theft of supplies from a construction site in the 2600 block of Sanders Road, which occurred sometime between January and April.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 1900 block of Dauntless Drive reported that during the overnight hours of April 27, someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole a bag.
  • A resident in the 3200 block of Sanders Road reported that during the overnight hours of April 28, someone removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle while parked in the lot of their apartment complex.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited at 7:07 p.m. April 27, for no valid driver’s license, suspended registration, and uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop at Milwaukee Avenue and Zenith Drive.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

  • A resident in the 1400 block of Lehigh Avenue called police to report that during the overnight hours of April 28, someone slashed tires on their vehicle while parked in the lot of his apartment complex.
  • Glenview Park District employees reported that during the overnight hours of April 30, damage to multiple bathrooms at Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Drive.

FRAUD

A resident in the 1100 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 8:20 a.m. April 28, someone used their personal identifying information to apply and receive a loan.

DEFRAUDING AN INNKEEPER

A manager of a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 10:55 a.m. April 28, a long-term customer refused to pay their bill.

THEFT

An employee of a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 2:29 p.m. April 30, to report several suspects exited two vehicles and stole items dropped near an exterior donation drop box.

TRESPASSING

An employee of a business in the 2100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:49 p.m. May 1, a patron who refused to leave. Officers spoke with the patron and gave them trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 7:14 p.m. May 1, a male and female left the store with merchandise without paying for it.
