Disruptive Behavior in ADHD

Children with ADHD often engage in behaviors that can disrupt family life. These children may be disorganized, have tendencies to say inappropriate things in public, and may even have difficulty controlling their behavior. The task of balancing their child's needs with the needs of the rest of the family often rests on the shoulders of the parents, which can be difficult. It is not uncommon for parents to feel overwhelmed by their child's needs and forget about their own needs, or the importance of engaging in normal family activities. Seeking professional help is the quickest way for parents of children with ADHD to feel some respite, and for these children to learn new skills to better control their behavior and communicate their feelings.
