Document Shred Event Draws Large Response

MAINE TOWNSHIP HAS ANOTHER HIT EVENT

 

The lines were out to the street at times on Saturday, June 7, at Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Rd., Park Ridge.

The Township's annual free document shredding day hosted 225 vehicles, a record for the event. Over 5,200 pounds of documents were shredded by Opportunity Secure Data Destruction Co., a division of Glenkirk Enterprises, which performed the document shredding. Residents were be able to view the shredding via a television monitor located on the side of the truck.

“We enjoy helping residents destroy no longer needed documents at the same time helping the disabled who are employed by the shredding company," says Carol A. Teschky, Supervisor of Maine Township. "This is just one of the many services we offer at Maine Township."
