Dominick’s Site Occupancy May Be ‘Key Component’ in Downtown Revitalization

The Waukegan Road grocery store site that once house has been vacant since the retailer moved to in 2006. And, according to a consultant presentation at a workshop meeting earlier this week, filling the space could mean more business opportunity for downtown Glenview as a whole, Triblocal reports.
According to TribLocal, other sites on the agenda for redevelopment included and , although Village officials and a representative from Chicago-Based U.S. Equities Realty agreed these items were not immediate. The Dominick’s site however, was recognized as a potential catalyst for bringing new businesses to the area.
Additionally, officials discussed the types of businesses currently drawn to Glenview’s downtown and how zoning—and potential changes to zoning—may affect this in the future.
