Bullying among children and adolescents has been referred to as an "epidemic," with significant numbers to back up this choice of terminology. However, due to its frequent usage in the news and pop culture, many people - parents included - are finding themselves not really taking bullying all that seriously. These people may often dismiss bullying as a natural part of growing up. However, it is important to recognize that bullying can have serious physical and mental health consequences for your child. Parents that witness changes in their children's behavior as a result of bullying should seek help. Therapeutic intervention provides an outlet for these children to express themselves and develop coping skills in a safe space.
At Courage To Connect, we provide that safe space. If you have a child or loved one who you feel would benefit from therapy, please feel free to call our office at (847) 730-3042 to set up an appointment to meet with one of our therapists.
