INCIDENTS

UNWANTED PICTURES
A resident in the 300 block of Glenview Road reported around 2:30 p.m. on July 23 that someone had slipped a folder containing unspecified pictures under their front door.

ROAD RAGE/AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
A motorist reported around 10:30 p.m. on July 24 that he had been stopped 7/24/19 at 2235 hours, he was stopped at a traffic signal at at West Lake Avenue at Milwaukee Avenue when an unidentified man in a silver SUV came to a stop in the lane next to him and pointed a handgun at him while shouting something unintelligible. No further description of the man or his vehicle was provided.

THEFTS

  • An employee at an unspecified business in the 1100 block of East Lake Avenue reported around 8 a.m. on July 23 that someone had stolen flag sticks used to mark holes in a golf course for a loss of $300.
  • A shopper at an unspecified business in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported around 2 p.m. on July 23 that someone stole their wallet from a shopping cart for a loss of $130.
  • Someone stole two lacrosse goals worth $1,100 that had been locked to a telephone pone in the 2600 block of Greenwood Road between June 10 and July 23.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

  • A resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported around 10:30 p.m. on July 23 that someone threw rocks at their home between 3 and 7 p.m. that day, causing $400 in damage to its siding.
  • A resident in the 2000 block of Linneman Street reported around 10:15 p.m. on July 25 that someone threw a rock through the front picture window, causing $4,000 in damage.

CANINE CRIMES

  • A resident in the 1400 block of Plymouth Place reported around 11 a.m. on July 25 that a passing dog had barked and lunged at a child.
  • A resident reported around 12:30 p.m. on July 25 that a pair of unleashed dogs had attacked their leashed dog in the 1200 block of Pfingsten Road.

FRAUD ATTEMPT
An employee at a business in the 1900 block of North Lake Terrace reported around 5:15 p.m. on July 25 that someone had unsuccessfully tried to deposit a fraudulent check into an online business account.

STOLEN CAR
A resident in the 800 block of Prairie Lawn Road reported around 10:45 a.m. on July 28 that someone had stolen a silver Nissan worth $9,500 from their driveway between 10:30 p.m. July 27 an 10:30 a.m. July 28.

PROFANE PATRONS

  • An employee at an unspecified business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 11:45 p.m. on July 28 that a belligerent customer at the drive-thru began threatening staff and yelling obscenities.
  • An employee an an unspecified business in the 3400 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 4 p.m. on July 29 that someone came into the business to ask for a refund on an insurance policy and began shouting and swearing at staff.

TRESPASSING

  • A resident in the 300 block of Nordica Avenue reported that someone had unlawfully entered their home between 8 and 8:12 p.m. July 27 .
  • An employee at a motel in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 1:30 a.m. July 30 that a former customer had come into the lobby and tried to rent a room but the computer system indicated the man was banned from renting. Nonetheless, the customer refused to leave, and motel staff called police.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 17-year-old boy was issued a citation for the violation of the local ordinance forbidding theft after an employee at an unspecified business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported around 7 p.m. on July 29 that he had converted $57.57 worth of gift cards received from customers for his personal use.

Frank James, 26, 6829 South Marshfield Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on July 22 in the 4900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, and charged with electronic harassment following an investigation begun July 18 in the 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard into claims he sent threatening text messages.

Antonia Demarinis, 72, of the 700 block of North Delphia Avenue, Park Ridge, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. on July 22 in the 1900 Block of Tower Drive and charged with retail theft following a investigation into a reported theft.

Richard Burns, 60, of the 300 block of Harlem Avenue, Glenview, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on July 23 in his block of residence and charged with domestic battery after police were called to a report of a dispute.

Mexie Jackson, 32, of the 1700 block of Forest Cove Drive, Mount Prospect, was arrested at 3 p.m. on July 24 in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard and charged with identity theft as a result of an investigation into a report of a stolen credit card used March 26 at the Costco in the same block as his arrest.

Alexander Field, 50, of the 1300 block of Pam Anne Drive, Glenview, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on July 27 following an investigation into a traffic crash at the intersection of Glenview Road and Liberty Lane. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol — while his driver’s license was suspended or revoked, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol — with two more more prior DUI convictions, possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol. driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more and failure to give aid or information. He was also issue citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an crash and improper lane usage.
