Duo Steals 30 Bottles Of Booze On 4th: Glenview Police Blotter
The two men filled up two shopping carts with liquor and exited the store without paying, according to police.

Jason Braganza, 46, homeless, is accused of violation of an order of protection at a residence in the 900 block of Long Road, Glenview, and was arrested at 10:41 p.m. July 6. He was taken to a bond hearing on July 8.
THEFT

While investigating another report in the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue, police arrested Sylvester Crenshaw, 46, of Stevensville, Michigan, for a theft warrant out of Glenview at 12:29 p.m. July 7. He was charged with theft and was taken to a July 8 bond hearing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Andy Lin, 65, of the 400 block of Anita Place, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, improper lighting, and was arrested at 2:09 a.m. July 9, after a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Ave. Lin was released after posting $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Aug. 15.
VIOLATION OF CONDITIONS AT PRETRIAL RELEASE
Jason Braganza, 46, of the 900 block of Long Road, Glenview, is accused of violation of conditions of pretrial release, and was arrested at 9:16 a.m. July 9, after an investigation at the Glenview Police Department, 2500 East Lake Ave Braganza was processed and held in lockup awaiting a bond hearing on July 10.

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
- The loss prevention officer of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported that at 8:31 a.m. July 3, a male filled a reusable shopping bag with numerous over-the-counter medications and exited passed the last point of purchase.
- The loss prevention officer of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 12:16 p.m. July 4, to report two males entered the store and placed 30 bottles of liquor in two shopping carts then exited passed the last point of purchase.
- Employees of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 8:27 p.m. July 7, to report two men filled two shopping carts with Milwaukee brand power tools and exited the store past the last point of purchase.
- An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 8:20 p.m. July 10, three males and one female entered the store and stole $3,210.65 worth of alcohol.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
A Glenview resident reported at 8:21 a.m. July 5, they clicked a link through an e-mail received from Bed, Bath & Beyond for a sale item. They purchased the sale item, then noticed a fraudulent charge for a foreign currency fee of $0.21 on their bank account
HATE CRIME
An employee of a business in the 700 block of Harlem Avenue reported that on June 20, someone had stolen their LGBTQ+ Pride banner. The employee said on July 4, the banner was returned to the business but had been cut up in several places.
FORGERY
A Glenview resident reported on July 5 that on June 9, someone made a fraudulent withdrawal from their bank account for $5,000.
BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE
- A Highland Park resident reported that during the overnight hours of July 6, someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue.
- A Glenview resident in the 1300 block of Canterbury Lane reported someone entered the trunk of their vehicle between June 30 and July 7. The offender took a golf bag with golf clubs.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Northbrook resident reported at 1:39 p.m. July 6, someone used their information to open a Huntington Bank account. The account had a check deposited from the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $29,669.27, with several withdrawal transactions emptying the account.
BURGLARY
- A Buffalo Grove resident called police to report that between 6:30 p.m. and 8:21 p.m. July 6, someone entered their locked locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road.
- A Niles resident reported that between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. July 6, someone entered their locked locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road.
- A Mount Prospect resident called police to report that between 7:45 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. July 6, someone entered their locked locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 400 block of Lotus Lane reported an unknown female pulled several flowers from their flowerbed at their residence without permission at 8:44 p.m. July 6.
TRESPASSING
An employee of a business in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 4:16 p.m. July 10, a man was trespassing. Officers spoke to the man, who admitted to going to the business. He was issued a village ordinance citation.
