NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Syed Ali-Hussaini, 22, of the 4100 block o f Kirk Street, Skokie, is accused of no valid driver's license, uninsured motor vehicle, suspended registration, and was arrested at 10:18 p.m. Aug. 16, following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Chestnut Avenue. He was released on bond.

INCIDENTS

BATTERY

An employee of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:03 p.m. Aug. 16, a customer pushed an employee while leaving the property.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police at 3:39 p.m. Aug. 16, to report a male left the store with a jacket without paying for it. Staff approached the male, who returned the jacket to employees and fled the area.
  • An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 11:56 a.m. Aug. 18, a male took approximately 20 bottles of liquor and left the store without paying for the items.
  • An employee at a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 9:06 p.m. Aug. 20, to report three females entered the store at 8:41 p.m. with large purses. The subjects were seen going to the liquor aisle and concealing bottles of liquor and cosmetics, and left the store without paying.

BATTERY

A citizen reported at 8:44 p.m. Aug. 16, he was struck in the back by an employee of a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue.

THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Navy Boulevard reported at 1:16 p.m. Aug. 17, a former employee stole money from the business.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A Northbrook resident called police at 5:01 p.m. Aug. 17, to report someone broke the passenger window of their vehicle, while it was parked in the 2500 block of Chestnut Avenue and stole a purse containing personal items and credit cards.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Des Plaines resident was cited at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 17, for no valid driver's license, expired registration, following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

FORGERY

  • A resident in the 2300 block of Carrington Way reported at 3:11 p.m. Aug. 18, several fraudulent checks were cashed from their business banking account.
  • An employee of a business in the 700 block of York Road reported at 1:42 p.m. Aug. 19, a check mailed from the Glenview Post Office was cashed to different people for different amounts.

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • A Buffalo Grove resident was cited at 6:32 p.m. Aug. 18, for driving while license suspended, failure to wear a seat belt, and expired registration after a traffic stop in the 700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A Milwaukee resident was cited at 7:34 p.m. Aug. 18, for driving while license suspended, unlawful possession of cannabis by the driver, uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seatbelt following a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

A Madison, Wisconsin resident reported at 2:02 p.m. Aug. 19, someone removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked overnight at a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

SPEEDING

An Aurora resident was cited at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 21, for speeding (35+ mph) following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
