The twice-monthly meeting of the Appearance Commission is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic quality of Glenview's built environment. Officials review, analyze and approve all aesthetic changes to commercial and industrial developments (for example, facade alterations, signs and landscaping) and issue Certificates of Appropriateness. They meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month.
