world’s largest landfill in New York. 


Americans make more trash than anyone else on the planet.  Is there a way for America, the country that invented the disposable economy, to pioneer a new and less wasteful path and still prosper?

The public is invited to join members of the League of Women Voters of Glenview for a discussion of the non-fiction book Garbology. Our Dirty Love Affair with Trash, written by Pullitzer Prize-winning author Edward Humes.  The discussion will take place Wednesday, August 29, at the Glenview Library, multipurpose room at 7 p.m.  League
