Fitness Zone Added to Gallery Park
Seven new pieces of equipment have been installed on the north side of the park.

A generous donation from Glenview resident Doris Conant means Gallery Park now has an outdoor Fitness Zone.
Seven new pieces of outdoor exercise equipment are located on the north side of the park.
“Gallery Park is one of our most popular places to exercise outside,” Superintendent of Park and Facility Services James Warnstedt said. “The addition of seven outdoor fitness elements is a great way for anyone to expand their workout. Walkers can stop and work on balance, runners can add pull ups and rowing to their training.”

The Fitness Zone includes seven stations: cardio stepper, ab crunch/leg lift, pull up/dip, chest/back press, Tai Chi wheels, balance steps and assisted row/pushup. Entrances and exits to the area are gradually sloped.
Conant’s funds were donated to the Trust for Public Land, an organization committed to creating parks, public land and livable communities for generations to come. The Glenview Park District appropriated the funds for Fitness Zone from the trust.
