  • Destiny Puentes, 26, of the 5000 block of W. Wolfram Street, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, endangering the life of a child, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, child restraint violation, and was arrested at 8:56 p.m. Jan. 23, following an incident in the 600 block of Long Road. She was issued an I-Bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 28.
  • Joseph Stone. 48, of the 4800 block of W. Addison Street, Chicago, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, unlawful possession of cannabis by driver, improper use of registration, depositing material on a highway, and was arrested at 11:08 a.m. Jan. 18, in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was held for a bond hearing.

BURGLARY

John Delfin 43, of the 100 block of Waukegan Road, is accused of two counts of burglary, two counts of felony theft, two counts of theft under $500, and was arrested at 12:39 p.m. Jan. 18, following an investigation in the 100 block of Waukegan Road. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY

An employee from the Glenview Post Office, 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard, reported that between 6 p.m. Jan. 15, and 5 p.m. Jan. 17, someone broke into the mailbox on the southeast corner of the Post Office and stole an unknown amount of mail. SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • A Glenview resident was cited at 10:03 p.m. Jan. 18, for driving with a revoked license, driving with one headlight, following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Waukegan Road. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for Feb. 10.
  • A Chicago resident was cited at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 22, for suspended driver's license, speeding 11-15 mph over the speed limit, no insurance, no rear bumper, following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. They were issued an I-bond with a return court date of Feb. 23.

BATTERY

A Glenview resident told police at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 19, she was battered by a Chicago resident while working at a business in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road. Officers determined the parties were mutual combatants.

THEFT

A property manager at The Glen Town Center called police at 3:17 p.m. Jan. 19, to report a former business owner entered the vacant business sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan. 17, and removed around $500,000 worth of property from inside the building.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

  • A Buffalo Grove resident reported on Jan. 19 that at some time on Jan. 16 someone slashed three tires on their vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A property manager at Sunset Village, 2450 Waukegan Road, reported at 12:01 p.m. Jan. 21, someone damaged 10 streets signs within their community. Total amount of damage is approximately $3,600.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

A Glenview resident was issued a village ordinance citation at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 19, for possession of cannabis, speeding, following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of East Lake Avenue.

FORGERY

  • A Glenview resident called police on Jan. 21 to report they mailed a check at the Glenview Post Office on Jan. 15 from their business checking account. The resident was later notified that the check was deposited into a checking account in the amount of $9,500.
  • A Glenview resident reported on Jan. 22 that between Nov. 30-Dec. 7, 2021, someone altered a check they sent. The check was mailed using the residential mailbox outside their home. The check was for $1,200.34.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A Wheeling resident walked into Glenbrook Hospital Emergency Room at 6:37 p.m. Jan. 22, and reported they were stabbed. They were uncooperative with police officers and only said the incident occurred in Prospect Heights at a party. The injuries were a small laceration to his nose and hand. The Prospect Heights Police Department was contacted, and they advised no reports of any kind of disturbances were made.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Glenview resident reported at 4:39 p.m. Jan. 24, someone used their American Express card to purchase “goods” online from Yanzhi Trade Co. The reported loss is $181.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee of a business in the 200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 24, someone broke the glass to the front door of the building. The estimated damage is $800.
