Setting goals provides us with a means to budget our time and feel a sense of accomplishment. When helping your child set goals, remember that the goals should be attainable - not too easy, and not too hard. If the goals are too easy to achieve, your child will learn that success comes easy in all situations. If the goals are too hard, your child may become frustrated and avoid setting goals in the future. Finding a balance is important to set the right tone to help your child succeed, and to complete family projects in a timely (and maybe even fun) manner.
