GLENVIEW, IL — Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook provides much-needed mental health services for local children and adolescents in the North Shore. The Glenview-based volunteer organization "believes every child should grow up happy, healthy and with hope." The agency’s mission is to foster the social and emotional well-being of all children and youth.
To that end, funding for the organization is crucial and Friends of Youth Services works year round to help. The annual "Girlfriends' Boutique and Bites" fundraiser returns from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at The Renaissance Chicago Glenview Suites Hotel, 1400 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview
"We look forward to this event every year. I'm always impressed by the power of local women to uplift and support our collective youth," Markie Condon, board member of Friends of Youth Services, said. "The camaraderie is high with many making this an annual tradition to meet up with friends, get an early start to holiday shopping and importantly help to raise money for Youth Services."
