Glenview Blotter: Man Asked Teen Boy to Take His Picture
An apple I-Phone was reported stolen from Glenbrook South High School.

AGGRAVATED DUI
On March 24 at 4:40 a.m., Abel A. Ocampo, 23, Wheeling, was charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – No Driver’s License, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Breath Alcohol Concentration Greater Than .08, Driving While Suspended, No Valid Driver’s License, and Speeding in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
On March 21 at 9:16 a.m., Betsabe Trujillo-Flores 39, Palatine, was charged with No Valid Driver’s License and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident in the 1300 block of East Lake Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT
On March 21 at 1:04 p.m., Marlene Benitez, 49, 10403 Dearlove Road was charged with Retail Theft in the 3200 block of Glenview Road.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
On March 17 an employee from a business in the 900 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported receiving unwanted text messages from an unknown person since February 16.
BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
On March 20, a victim reported unknown offenders entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked unattended at Open Arms Development, 1850 Chestnut Avenue. The unknown offender(s) stole her purse and a laptop computer.
THEFT
On March 20, a business in the 3300 block of Glenview Road reported that at 8:05 p.m. a male Hispanic juvenile, thin build, 5’08” black jacket and brown shoes stole two bottles of alcoholic liquor and three boxes of eye drops. The offender left in a silver vehicle.
THEFT FROM COIN-OPERATED MACHINE
On March 20, the owner of a building in the 1500 block Lehigh Avenue reported an unknown offender used quarter sized slugs to operate laundry machines, resulting in a $50 loss over the past two weeks.
IDENTITY THEFT
On March 21 a resident in the 1700 block Longmeadow Drive learned someone attempted to open at least four credit accounts in his name since March 1, 2000.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On March 21, the manager of Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Avenue, discovered the screen cracked on a television in room 161 and suspects the renter caused the damage but does not wish to pursue prosecution.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On March 21 a resident in the 2100 block of Warrington Court reported the driver of a black Chrysler limousine stopped and asked his 14-year-old son to either pose for a picture or take his picture in front of their home. Officers located the limousine on Glenlake Drive waiting for a fare. The man stated he asked the youth to take his picture so he could post it to Facebook for friends in Africa but left when the child looked uncomfortable.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On March 21 a resident of the 1100 block of Sherwood Lane reported receiving a letter addressed to his wife alleging an extramarital affair with a co-worker.
THEFT
On March 23 a student at Glenbrook South High School reported an unknown person stole her Apple I-Phone 6 after she left phone in the bathroom. The estimated loss is $600.
THEFT
On March 23 at 5:30 p.m., a resident in the 1900 block of Westleigh Drive reported an unknown person stole her son’s red and black backpack, containing an Apple I-Pad, from the Glenview Park Center, 2400, Chestnut Avenue. The estimated loss is $330.
