Glenview Police Reports for Feb. 22-Feb. 28

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department. It is a record of police activity. Charges are often dropped or reduced and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.

CAR/GARAGE BURGLARIES

On Feb. 21 at 5:44 p.m., a resident in the 4400 block of Lainie Circle reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and stole money, clothing and accessories for a reported loss of over $1,000.

On Feb. 22 at 7:42 a.m., a resident in the 3100 block of Bellwood Lane reported someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway and stole tools and cash, for a reported loss of $450.

On Feb. 22 at 8:17 a.m. a resident in the 3700 block of Springdale Road reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle on the driveway and stole a reported $5 in cash.

On Feb. 22 around 8:30 a.m., a resident in the 3100 block of Bellwood Lane reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole cash and tools for a reported loss of $60.

On Feb. 22 at 8:50 a.m., a resident in the 2500 block of Independence Avenue reported someone entered a vehicle and stole a garage door opener subsequently used to enter the garage for a reported loss of $100.

On Feb. 22 at 10:27 a.m., a resident in the 1600 block of Annapolis Drive reported someone entered a vehicle and stole a reported $20 in cash.

On Feb. 23 shortly after 10:00 a.m., a resident in the 1500 block of Independence Avenue reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle and searched the car but did not take anything.

On Feb. 25, shortly before 10:00 a.m., a resident in the 2400 block of Greenwood Road reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole $29 cash.

On Feb. 25 at 4:24 p.m., a resident in the 2400 block of Rebecca Lane reported someone entered a vehicle and stole $350 in cash and coins.

On Feb. 27, shortly before 8:30 a.m., a resident in the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue reported someone stole more than $1,000 in power tools from their vehicle.

On Feb. 27, shortly before 3:30 a.m., a resident in the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue reported someone entered their garage without permission.

THEFT

On Feb. 24, at 7:14 a.m., an employee in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone stole $600 worth of wiring from the construction site.

On Feb. 25, shortly after midnight, a guest in the 1400 block of Milwaukee reported a cashier’s check was stolen from their room for a reported loss of $5,000.

On Feb. 24 at 12:13 p.m., a patron in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue reported someone stole an I-Phone from a locker for a reported loss of $900.

On Feb. 27 at 3:23 p.m., a patron in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported someone stole a wallet for a reported loss of $255.

IDENTITY THEFT

Shortly before noon on Feb. 22, a resident in the 1400 block of Tuscany Court reported someone fraudulently used their credit card information to purchase $2,100 worth of jewelry from out of state.

On Feb. 20, shortly after noon, a resident in the 1800 block of Grove Street reported someone attempted and failed to access their bank account.

On Feb. 21 at 2:52 p.m., an employee in the 1700 block of Chestnut Avenue reported someone made an unauthorized $800 purchase on their business credit card.

On Feb. 21 at 4:31 p.m., a resident in the 1500 block of Pebble Creek Drive reported receiving fraudulent invoices from an out of state rental unit for a reported loss of $5,000.

On Feb. 24, shortly before 7 p.m., a resident in the 2800 block of Central Road reported someone made fraudulent charges on their credit card account for a reported loss of $500.

FORGERY

On Feb. 23 at 10:43 a.m., a resident in the 2200 block of Mint Lane reported someone tried and failed to cash checks from their bank account.

On Feb. 23 at 3:49 p.m., a resident in the 1700 block of Grove Street reported someone forged checks for more than $5,000 from their bank account.

On Feb. 27 at 10:44 a.m., an employee in the 800 block of Waukegan Road reported someone attempted and failed to cash a fraudulent check.

TRESPASS

On Feb. 22 at 11:45 a.m., a resident in the 3800 block of LaFontaine Drive reported someone was on their property without permission.

On Feb. 27 at 12:47 p.m., an employee in the 2400 block of East Lake Avenue reported someone was on the property without permission.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT

On Feb. 23 shortly after 9:30 a.m., an employee in the 2100 block of Claire Court reported someone sent them unwanted e-mails.

On Feb. 23 at 2:37 p.m., an employee in the 2000 block of Claire Court reported receiving unwanted e-mails.

On Feb. 24, shortly before 2:00 a.m., a resident in the 3500 block of Carol Lane reported someone sent unwanted text messages.

On Feb. 27 at 4:15 p.m., an employee in the 1300 block of Waukegan Road reported receiving unwanted text messages.

ORDINANCE VIOLATION

On Feb. 23, shortly after 5:00 p.m., a resident in the 1000 block of Gladish Lane reported a contractor was
using improper equipment.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT

On Feb. 26, shortly before 4:30 a.m., an employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported receiving unwanted telephone calls.

FAILURE TO GIVE INFO

On Feb. 20 at 8:36 a.m. a 50-year-old woman of the 2400 block of Woodlawn Road, Northbrook, was charged with Failure to Give Information after Striking an Unattended Vehicle in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road.

DUI

On Feb. 22 at 6:53 p.m., a 50-year-old man of the 2700 block of Wendy Drive, Naperville, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident after a traffic crash investigation in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

On Feb. 23 at 7:12 p.m. a 58-year-old man of the 300 block of East Lane Court in Round Lake, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

On Feb. 26, shortly before 1:00 a.m., a 23-year-old man of the 100 block of Curricle Road, Wheeling, IL was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Speeding, and Improper Lane Use in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Feb. 21 at 10:27 a.m., an employee in the 800 block of Shermer Road reported someone damaged a sand trap with oil for a reported loss of $1,500.

On Feb. 27 at 7:49 p.m., a resident in 1500 block of Annapolis Drive reported someone punctured a tire on their vehicle for a loss of $200.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT

On Feb. 27 at 8:10 a.m., an employee in the 2200 block of Grove Street reported someone spray-painted a tree with orange paint for a cost of $50.

BATTERY

On Feb. 27 at 10:26 a.m., a resident in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported being pushed while standing in their doorway.
