Glenview Crime: Jewelry Thief, Garage Burglar Sought

Glenview Police Reports for the week of Feb. 7-14.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information was provided by the Glenview Police Department. It is a record of police activities.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 8 shortly after 3:00 p.m. a customer in the 1900 block of Pickwick Lane reported someone went through their unlocked truck and stole electronic equipment from inside. The reported loss is $300.

THEFT

On Feb. 8 around 6:45 p.m., a resident in the 1300 block of East Lake Avenue reported someone sent an e-mail in response to their job inquiry and asked them to cash a check, keep part of the money and wire transfer the rest to an out of state address. There is no reported loss.

BATTERY

At noon on Feb. 8, an employee in the 3200 block of Glenview Road reported he was pushed by another employee.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 9 at 7:17 a.m. hours, a resident in the 2100 block of Henley Street reported someone entered their vehicle parked on the driveway and stole a wallet from inside. The reported loss is $900.

On the same day at roughly the same time, a resident in the 2200 block of Henley Street reported someone entered their unlocked garage and stole two bikes from inside. The reported loss is also $900.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Feb. 9 at 10:41 p.m., a property manager in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive reported someone damaged a door in the building for a reported loss of $500.

THEFT

On Feb. 9 at 1:17 p.m., a customer in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road reported jewelry was taken from a room. The reported loss is $3000.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 9 at 4:11 p.m., a resident in the 2000 block of Linneman Street reported someone entered two vehicles parked on the driveway. There is no loss.

IDENTITY THEFT

On Feb. 10 shortly after noon, a resident in the 1300 block of Elizabeth Lane reported someone opened credit accounts in their name without authorization. There is no loss.

Also on Feb. 10, at 3:04 p.m., a resident in the 4600 block of Lilac Avenue reported someone opened a utility account in their name without authorization. The reported loss is $350.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

On Feb. 10 at 4:33 hours, a resident in the 3800 block of Glenview Road reported someone forced open a door and stole personal items from inside the house. The reported loss is $600.

THEFT

On Feb. 10 at 5:11 p.m., an employee in the 9840 Milwaukee Avenue reported someone stole housewares off the shelf and left the store without paying for them. The reported loss is $15.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Feb. 10 at 11:47 p.m., a resident in the 2000 block of Valley Lo Lane reported someone damaged their vehicle while it was parked on the driveway for a loss is $400.

THEFT

On Feb. 10 at 11:26 p.m., a resident in the 1900 block of Grove Street reported someone telephoned them with news of winning a lottery but asked for fees before sending the winnings. The reported loss is over $1,000.

On Feb. 11 at 10:23 a.m., a resident in the 2000 block of Valor Court reported someone stole decorations from the front door. The reported loss is $80.

On Feb. 11 at 1:36 p.m., an employee in the 1500 block of Greenwood Road reported someone stole money from a customer. The reported loss is $26.

TRESSPASS

On Feb. 12 at 11:15 a.m., an employee in the 9840 Milwaukee Avenue reported a customer in the store previously stole items and they were not wanted in the store.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

On Feb. 12 shortly after 2:00 p.m., a resident in the 1400 block of Sunset Ridge Road reported someone forced open a door and entered their house. The reported loss is $200.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 13 at 8:17 p.m., an employee in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone took games and equipment and cash from the store. The reported loss is $4,000.
