GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activities and reports to the police. Criminal charges represent merely accusations and everyone is presumed innocent until and unless their guilt is established in court.

RETAIL THEFT

At 6:13 p.m. on April 11, an employee in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported someone came into the store, took $850 worth of merchandise from a shelf and left the store without paying.

THEFT

At 7:24 p.m. on April 11, an employee in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone took an $800 telephone that a victim had set on a counter and left the store with it.

IDENTITY THEFT

At 4:47 p.m. on April 11, a resident in the 2100 block of Trowbridge Court reported someone had made $3,000 worth of unauthorized purchases on their department store credit card without permission.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

At 8:17 a.m. on April 12, an employee in the 1800 block of Chestnut Avenue reported someone drove on grass the leaving circles in the turf for a reported loss of $100.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on April 12, an employee in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road reported someone scratched their car with a sharp object for a reported loss of $1,000.

RANSOMWARE

Shortly after 6 p.m. on April 12, a resident in the 2100 block of McArthur Drive reported having paid $449.99 to a hacker who had put ransomware on their computer.

IDENTITY THEFT

At 6:18 p.m. on April 12, an employee in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported someone used fraudulent credit cards to purchase merchandise for a reported loss of $300.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on April 12, a resident in the 4000 block of Blake Lane reported someone attempted to make unauthorized purchases with their credit card, but there was no reported loss.

PHONE HARASSMENT

At 11:42 a.m. on April 13, a resident in the 200 block of Princeton Lane reported receiving unwanted telephone calls.

ASSAULT

At 2:30 p.m. on April 13, an an employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported a patron identified themselves as a "gangbanger" and made a threat of bodily harm.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

At 6:36 p.m. on April 13, a resident in the 1700 block of Constitution Drive reported someone damaged their fence with a vehicle for a reported loss of $650.

RETAIL THEFT

At 10:34 a.m. on April 13, an employee in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported someone concealed merchandise under their clothing and walked out of the store without paying for a reported loss of $20.

IDENTITY THEFT

At 10:15 a.m. on April 14, a resident of the 2100 block of Spruce Drive reported someone had made $400 worth of fraudulent purchases on their credit card.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT

At 12:48 on April 14, a resident in the 2400 block of Pfingsten Road reported receiving unwanted text messages.

ASSAULT

Shortly after 4 p.m. on April 14, an employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a customer made a threat during a dispute about the bill.

IDENTITY THEFT

At 6:33 p.m. on April 14, a resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported someone used their credit card number without authorization to purchase $200 worth of merchandise.

THEFT

At 6:53 p.m. on April 14, a commuter in the 1100 block of Depot Street reported someone stole their bicycle from the bike rack for a reported loss of $300.

FORGERY

At 7:49 p.m. April 16, a resident in the 1700 block of Constitution Drive reported someone cashed fraudulent checks with their name on it for a reported loss of more than $1,000.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT

Shortly after noon on April 17, a resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported receiving threatening electronic messages.

FORGERY

At 9:14 a.m. on April 14, Bilguun Tumurbaatar, 26, of the 1500 block of Dempster Street in Mount Prospect, was charged with forgery after an investigation in the 2200 block of Mint Lane.

SHOPLIFTING & BATTERY

Shortly before 8 a.m. on April 15, John Galloway, 23, of the 5500 block of Sheridan Road in Chicago, was charged with battery, retail theft — and another retail theft warrant from Bloomingdale — in the 100 block of Waukegan Road.

SHOPLIFTING

At 6:35 p.m. on April 12, Daniel Bruder, 50, of the 1600 block of West Le Moyne Street in Chicago, was charged with retail theft in the 2200 block of Willow Road.

DUI

At 12:17 a.m. on April 13, Khashmargad Tuvshintugs, 23, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk in Northbrook, was charged with DUI and improper lane use after a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT WITHOUT A VALID LICENSE

At 11:10 a.m. on April 12, Jackie Aguilera, 47, of the 300 block of Neva Avenue in Glenview, was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash in the 1800 block of Glenview Road.
