'Glenview Looking Forward' Kicks Off With Public Input
New comprehensive plan layout begins will village hall meeting on good spots, problem areas and "must-see attractions" identified.

The village of Glenview’s effort to revamp their Comprehensive Plan got underway Monday with the kickoff of the ‘Glenview Looking Forward’ campaign at Village Hall.
The Chicago Tribune reports the public were asked to provide their input on good spots in town, problem areas and “must-see” attractions. Input on good spots included downtown, The Glen and Wagner Farm, while bad votes evolved at the intersections of Lake Avenue and Waukegan Road, Lake and Pfingsten Road, and Glenview Road and Lehigh Avenue.

The top “must-see” spots are Wagner Farm and park space in The Glen between Patriot Boulevard and Metra’s Milwaukee District tracks, participants said.
According to the Tribune article, “The comprehensive plan is the primary map telling developers what residents and officials want to see and where they want to see it. The plan and the zoning code are essentially developmental DNA dictating what can be built and where, officials said.”
