Glenview Man Claims $700K Lottery Prize

Robert Buta says he will buy a new house and car after buying the winning ticket at Kathe's Car Wash in Glenview.

GLENVIEW, IL - A Glenview man who won $700,000 with a winning Illinois Lottery Lucky Day Lotto ticket will spend his winnings on a new house and new car.

Robert Buta told Lottery officials he was "very, very happy" when he realized he won the prize. Buta matched all five numbers - 12, 13, 16, 22, 32 - in the midday drawing held on Monday, Oct. 17. He discovered his win the day after the drawing when he checked the winning numbers on the Illinois Lottery website, according to Lottery officials.

Buta purchased the winning ticket at Kathe's Car Wash at 825 Milwaukee Ave. in Glenview. The retailer will get a $7,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
