Glenview Man Dies in South Dakota Motorcycle Crash

A Glenview man whose motorcycle collided with a semitrailer in South Dakota is dead.

65-year-old Irwin Lyons was pronounced dead at the scene - the junction of U.S. Highways 12 and 83 just west of the city of Selby - according to an Associated Press report.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol said Lyons was westbound on U.S. Highway 12 when the eastbound semitrailer turned north on U.S. Highway 83. The semi driver did not see Lyons as the vehicles collided.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the crash.
