Glenview Walgreens Robbed At Gunpoint
Police refuse to release any description of an armed robber from a Glenview Walgreens.

GLENVIEW, IL — An armed robber struck a Walgreens, but police are refusing to release any information about the suspect.
At 9:13 p.m. last Friday, Glenview police received a report from an employee at the drug store chain's 3301 Glenview Road location.
A Walgreens employee told police someone had come into the store, pointed a handgun at them and told them to put money into a bag. The store reported a loss of $300, according to Glenview police.

A Glenview PD spokesperson declined to provide any description of the suspect or any other information about the robbery, citing an ongoing investigation. The spokesperson also declined to answer whether the department thinks there is any ongoing threat to the public.

A Walgreens spokesperson said the company is cooperating with police and it is thankful no one was hurt.

A day after this story was published, the Glenview Police Department issued a press release acknowledging the incident, providing a description and seeking additional information.
