Glenview Woman Sues Landlord Over Fall on Ice

A Glenview woman who fell on the ice in her condominium complex’s parking lot this winter is suing her landlord and homeowners association claiming negligence.

Maria Valle alleges in the suit filed March 9 in Cook County Circuit Court that the ice in the lot was allowed to accumulate as a result of a pipe regularly flushing water into the parking lot at Michael Todd Terrace, according to the Cook County Record.

Named in the suit, which seeks $100,000 in damages plus costs, are Naum Shekhtman, Yelena Kabakova and the Michael Todd Homeowners Association.
