Grinch Steals Items From Donation Box At Biz: Glenview Police Blotter

The theft occurred between Dec. 9 and 12 at a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road, according to police.

A resident in the 1900 block of Westleigh Drive reported on Dec. 12 that someone hit and damaged their mailbox.

BURGLARY TO A VEHICLE

A resident in the 3000 block of Mary Kay Lane called police on Dec. 12 to report that between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., someone entered their vehicle and stole jewelry.

IDENTITY THEFT

An employee of a business in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue reported on Dec. 12 someone changed the businesses' banking information and added an account.

FORGERY

A Glenview Road resident reported at 8 p.m. Dec. 13, a check mailed through the U.S. Post Office was cashed to a different person for a different amount.

REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Park City resident was cited at 9:54 p.m. Dec. 13, for having a revoked driver's license, speeding, after a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Sanders Road.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

  • An Orland Park resident reported that during the overnight hours of Dec. 14, someone stole the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane called police to report that during the overnight hours of Dec. 14, someone stole the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while it was parked in their residential parking lot.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police at 1:10 p.m. Dec. 14, to report three male subjects exited a parked vehicle, entered the store, grabbed merchandise and ran out of the store without paying for the items.
  • An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 1:55 p.m. Dec. 15, to report two unknown offenders stole liquor from the business.

BATTERY

An Evanston resident was cited under village ordinance for battery at 7 p.m. Dec. 14, after the investigation of an incident at a business in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue.

TRESPASS WARNING

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Old Willow Road called police at 11:04 a.m. Dec. 15, to report a customer switched a price tag on an item for sale and completed the transaction at the register. Officers gave the customer trespass notice to the business at the request of employees.

THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported that between Dec. 9 and Dec. 12, someone stole items from a donation box.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited for no driver's license, one headlamp at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 18, after a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
