Grove Heritage Association To Celebrate 50th Anniversary Next Month
A special art installation will be unveiled at the Sept. 10 event.

GLENVIEW, IL — For the past 50 years, the Grove Heritage Association has worked to preserve the National Historic Landmark status of The Grove. The grassroots organization will be celebrated at a special ceremony from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 10.
According to the Glenview Park District, the free event will include a presentation, dedication and an unveiling of a special art installation. There will also be a scavenger hunt, photo ops, the signing of a special anniversary event banner and giveaways.
The GHA began with 10 local women who recognized something special in the pristine oak hickory savanna and wetland ecosystem known as "The Grove." Their efforts led to a National Register of Historic Places designation.
