3 Killed In Glenview Crash ID'd: Police
The cause of the Sunday crash near the intersection of West Lake Avenue and Pfingsten Road remains under investigation.

GLENVIEW, IL — The identities of three people killed in a single-car crash last Sunday morning have been released. The deceased have been identified as Wesley Beitler, 22, of Aurora; Bryce Reinhard, 22, of Aurora; and Khaliunaa Mungunkhuu, 20, of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin; according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police said Thursday the cause of the traffic remains under investigation by the Glenview police traffic unit, with assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team.
According to Beitler's obituary, he was born in Naperville. Beitler was a graduate of Waubonsie Valley, where he ran cross country. Following high school, he continued competing in running at Indiana State before finishing college at the University of Tennessee, where Beitler earned a bachelor's of business degree. He had recently begun a career as a financial planner at Thrivent Financial in Geneva.

According to Reinhard's obituary, he graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in 2020 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa, with a major in computer science and a minor in mathematics, on Dec. 22, 2024. Reinhard was starting his career as a computer programmer, but also ran a 3D printing business.

When police arrived at the scene of the crash Sunday morning, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, with the occupants still inside. Upon arrival, responding units extinguished the fire and located the three victims inside. All the victims were deceased.
Pfingsten Road was shut down in both directions between East Lake Avenue and Hospital Drive, as well as West Lake Avenue between Pfingsten Road, and the train tracks for the crash investigation. The roadways were closed for several hours.
