Come to hear Illinois GOP Chairman Tim Schneider
Those who attend the Feb. 23 Presidents’ Day fundraiser for the Maine
Township Republican Unity Slate will get to hear Illinois GOP Chairman
Tim Schneider and his take on the state political scene especially the
budget fight in Springfield, announces Char Foss-Eggemann, Maine
Township Republican Committeeman.
Currently serving in his second term as a Cook County Board
Commissioner, Schneider has led the fight against increased taxes and
spending – advocating fiscal responsibility and transparency in
government. He led the fight to repeal Todd Stroger’s sales tax
increase, sponsored legislation to combat pay-to-play and workers
compensation, and worked to cut millions in wasteful taxpayer spending.
The Chicago Tribune called him “a strong and absolutely unwavering voice
for streamlining county government” and “an extraordinary member of a
Board that could use many more like him.”

Eggemann. “Since 2014, the Chairman has fearlessly lead the GOP in
taking on the Madigan machine. The Chairman’s active support of our
Maine Township Republican Unity Slate highlights the strategic
importance of our local communities in moving Illinois forward; it also
serves as an acknowledgment of the local GOP’s growth and cohesiveness.”
