Introducing Courage to Connect's New Teen Girls' Group!

(Monthly Group Therapy, Beginning on March 18th )

High school and young adulthood is a time of growth, full of possibility and excitement - and struggles. To help young women dealing with everyday issues in school, life, and at home, we at Courage to Connect are proud to introduce our new Circle of Courage Teen Girls' Group, lead by our LCPC Nicole Nicioli!

The Circle of Courage is a model of positive development for members of all ages, based on a universal principle of practicing Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity to achieve full emotional health.

  • Belonging: Finding Commonalities With Others
    • Participants will hear one another's experiences and work through them as a group. They will also find a sense of belonging with group members experiencing similar situations.
  • Mastery: Learning To Cope
      • Participants will learn techniques to help cope with their many emotions and deal with peers and surroundings.
    • Independence: Discovering Inner Strength
        • Participants will learn how to find inner peace and develop coping techniques to improve their emotional well-being. They will also be able to observe and learn from the coping techniques of other group members.
      • Generosity: Understanding The Effects Of Stress
          • Participants will learn how to recognize the physical effects of stress and anxiety, and how to help others dealing with typical teen issues.

Teens often find themselves at social and life crossroads, and we at Courage to Connect believe the Circle of Courage is especially beneficial in helping these teens set goals and find balance in their choices. We also believe that every person has the ability to thrive, and that sometimes it takes a community of support to reveal one's true potential. With our new Teen Girls' Group, which will meet once a month starting Tuesday, March 18th, we will provide that community of support for the teen girl in your life.
