Judy Beck Honored with Riverside Park Renaming

Former who stepped down from the board in April after 32 years, was joined by several other Park District officials at Friday morning for a renaming and sign dedication in her honor.  

"It's amazing and very unexpected and really very nice,"  Beck said of the honor. 

The large park which features a basketball court, play ground and lots of open space sits somewhat hidden just off Waukegan Road on Carriage Hill Drive.  

For Beck, it will be close to home.

"If you went down to the river and waded across, that's my house," she said.
