Kicking Off Spring at the GCCNS Annual Benefit
The Glenview Community Church Nursery School would like to say thank you to the local businesses that sponsored the Annual Benefit!
On Saturday, March 12th, 2016, Glenview Community Church Nursery School (GCCNS) hosted its Annual Benefit at Valley Lo Club in Glenview, Illinois. The benefit committee, headed by Evelyn Caliendo, Megan Cless, Kara Kline, Katie McFarlan, and Jessica Shinn, worked tirelessly planning, decorating, and soliciting donations to make this a successful event. Masquerade masks, lavender flowers, beads, and feathers adorned tables, as the theme for the night was Mardi Gras.
Drinks, appetizers, and dinner were served followed by a Silent and Live Auction. Local businesses and parents generously donated many items including a beach cottage rental, Cubs and Bulls tickets, a signed Blackhawks hockey stick and jersey, gift cards, and jewelry. Gifts were made by over one hundred and fifty local businesses in Glenview and the surrounding suburbs. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase squares for the NCAA basketball tournament with monies going back to the school. Event goers ended the night on the dance floor with a live DJ providing the entertainment.
All money raised at the Annual Benefit will go toward the early education program at GCCNS. Specifically, some of these funds will go toward a sensory table, laptops for the teachers, and mats for the gym. The Glenview Community Church Nursery School would like to say thank you to the many local businesses that sponsored the Annual Benefit this year.
