Lit Cigar Thrown During Parking Space Fight: Glenview Police Blotter
The incident occurred at a facility in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue, according to police.

- Alexander Kanavathu Puthenpura, 70, of the 900 block of E. Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane, driving without lights when required, and was arrested at 7:14 p.m. Oct. 29, in the 3900 block of Glenview Road. He was held for an Oct. 31 bond hearing.
- Boldbayar Choijamts, 45, of the 2600 block of W. Catalpa Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 30, following a traffic crash investigation in the 1800 block of Grove Street. He was released on bond with a court date of Dec. 1 assigned.
- Robert Askin, 72, of the 1700 block of Henley Street, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, following too closely, and was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Oct. 25, following the investigation of a traffic crash in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond with a court date set for Nov. 28.

SPEEDING

A resident was cited for speeding (more than 35 mph over the speed limit) at 10:07 p.m. Oct. 25, following a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on bond with a court date set for Nov. 15.
FORGERY
A resident in the 1900 block of Linneman Street called police at 11:44 a.m. Oct. 26, to report several checks mailed through the US Postal Service were cashed in different names and different amounts.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Melrose Park resident was cited at 8:51 a.m. Oct. 27, for speeding, driving while license suspended, and was arrested at 8:51 a.m. Oct. 27, in the 3700 block of Winnetka Road. They were released on bond with a court date set for Dec. 14.
FRAUD
An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Capital Drive reported that at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 19, a customer presented a fraudulent Coinstar receipt and received cash back.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A citizen called police at 1:34 p.m. Oct. 29, to report seeing five males spray paint the concrete wall on a train overpass in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Ave.
BATTERY
A resident reported at 11:08 a.m. Oct. 30, getting into an argument over a parking space with a Woodridge resident while at a facility in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue. During the argument, one of the parties threw a lit cigar at the other parties. Neither was injured or burned by the cigar.
TRESPASSING
An employee of a business in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road called police at 2:07 p.m. Oct. 30, to report an angry customer in the store. Officers spoke with the customer, who admitted to being angry over waiting in line. Officers gave the customer a trespass warning to the store at the request of employees.
THEFT
A resident reported at 8:40 p.m. Oct. 31, having clothing and keys stolen from a locker at a facility in the 3800 block of Willow Road.
