Mail Stolen From Mailbox on Dewes Street: Cops

Equipment worth thousands reported stolen from Verizon.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft
On Oct. 28 at 12:31 p.m., Robert Moore, 50, Schiller Park was charged with theft in the 1900 block of Tower Drive.

Residential Burglary
On Oct. 25 at 9:43 p.m., a resident in the 900 block of Beaver Lane reported someone entered their house and stole personal items. The reported loss is over $500.

Theft
On Oct. 26 at 1:09 p.m., an employee of Verizon reported someone stole equipment in the 2500 block of Lehigh Avenue. The reported loss is $2,000.

Theft
On Oct. 27 at 2:32 p.m., a resident in the 2200 block of Dewes Street reported someone took mail from their mailbox. The reported loss is $50.

Stolen Vehicle
On Oct. 28 at 8:54 a.m., a patron in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue reported someone stole their vehicle from the parking lot after they left the keys in it. The reported loss is $20,000.

Residential Burglary
On Oct. 31 at 12:15 p.m., a resident in the 2000 block of Valley Lo Lane reported a garage door had been damaged and someone entered the residence. The reported loss is $250.

Battery
On Oct. 31 at 10:28 p.m., a patron in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported they were punched by another patron.

Warrant Arrest
On Oct. 31 at 6:53 p.m., Janusz Gibes, 56, of the 1400 block of Forest Drive was charged on an outstanding warrant from Cook County at his residence.
