Donna Wynne, 59, of the 8000 block of Parkside Avenue, Morton Grove, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, and was arrested at 2:58 p.m. March 8, following a traffic crash investigation on Golf Road near Lincoln Street. She was released and assigned a court date of April 10.

Alejandro Pantoja-Lopez, 23, of the 7000 block of Peoria Street, Chicago, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, obstructing identification, resisting arrest of a peace officer, retail theft over $300, and was arrested at 8:39 p.m. March 8, following a retail theft investigation in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road.

INCIDENTS
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Bucknell Court resident reported at 9:16 a.m. March 4, trying to contact the HR department for their child’s employer and were given an alternate phone number. They called that number and spoke to a male with a heavy accent who asked for their child’s personal information, including bank account and routing information. The resident provided another phone number to call for further questions, but when they called it, the number was not connected. They closed the bank account and filed an alert with TransUnion.
THEFT
- A Mary Kay Lane resident called police at 11:09 a.m. March 4, to report receiving a phone call from a male that identified themselves as working for Chase Bank. He had gained control of their computer and transferred money into their bank account. They were instructed to withdraw that extra money from the account so he would not get in trouble. They withdrew over $17,000 and were told someone would come to their residence to pick up the cash, because they did not know how to wire it using the Bitcoin ATM. On March 3, a tall black man, heavy build, in his 30s, with dark hair, came to her residence and they gave him envelopes filled with the cash. Family members later realized they had been scammed and that the computer had been compromised.
- A resident of the 800 block of Indian Road called police at 10:56 a.m. March 10, to report moving into the home and having two acquaintances assist. After they were alone, they noticed their wedding ring missing from the kitchen counter, valued at $50,000.
RETAIL THEFT
Employees of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:41 p.m. March 5, two people had stolen merchandise from the store and fled southbound on Waukegan Road. Officers stopped the people matching the description, who showed officers that they hid stolen alcohol bottles of alcohol behind a business in the 1300 block of Waukegan Road. The items were returned and no complaints to be signed. Total value $90.97.
BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE
Security agents for a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 3:37 a.m. March 6, a gray Hyundai occupied by two people circling the lot. The vehicle stopped by a pickup truck that was parked and one of the two, wearing all black with a face mask, approached the truck. When the security guard went out to the truck, the Hyundai was gone, and they saw the back window on the truck shattered. The owner of the truck reported a flashlight and $7 missing from the vehicle.
UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
A Des Plaines resident reported at 11:20 a.m. March 7, a white male, between the ages of 40 and 59, driving a black Ford Escape, waved a black colored handgun around. This occurred after they honked over a driving dispute near Patriot and East Lake.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 600 block of Carriage Hill Drive called police at 2:59 p.m. March 7, to report their neighbor has been staring through the windows and “barking” at their dogs. The neighbor also parks in front of the house and stares in the windows. A similar report had been made several months ago. Officers unable to contact the neighbor.
BARKING DOG
A resident of the 3800 block of Glenview Road was issued a village ordinance ticket at 1:49 a.m. March 8, for disturbance by animals, for dogs barking in the backyard.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road called police at 12:52 p.m. March 5, to report someone had damaged the front windshield of their vehicle and placed dog excrement on the hood. Damage amount was $800.
FOUND PROPERTY
Staff for a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 1 p.m. March 8, to report finding a .22 six shot revolver handgun in a room while they were cleaning. The gun was placed into property custody. Officers were unable to make contact with the last room occupant.
TRESPASS WARNING
An employee of a business in the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 2:39 p.m. March 10, to report a former coworker has written love letters and keeps coming to the business to visit.
They spoke to the boss, who said they own the building and would like the person to be given a
trespass warning not to return. Officers spoke to the person and told them not to return.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported on March 10 that their tire was slashed on Sept. 5, 2024, while the vehicle was parked unattended in the lot of the residence. They have video of a person walking up to the vehicle and making a stabbing motion, then walking away from the car. They have ongoing problems with a neighbor, who they believe caused the damage.
