Neighbor Threatens To 'Pound' Resident: Blotter
The resident said the neighbor made the threat while they were sitting outside their home: Glenview Police Blotter.

ARRESTS
RETAIL THEFT
Lamar Wimberly, 54, of the 9900 block of Linda Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of having a warrant out of Glenview on four counts of retail theft, and was taken into custody at 12:26 p.m. Oct. 1, by the Des Plaines Police Department. He was transported to Glenview police, where he was arrested for the incidents occurring in the 2300 block of Capital Drive and 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard. He posted bond and was released into the custody of the Niles Police Department for their investigation.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

- Joseph Witkowski, 52, of the 200 block of Loch Glen Lane, McHenry, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 3, following the investigation of an intoxicated person at Pine Street and Glenview Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Oct. 26.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
- A resident reported at 8:38 a.m. Sept. 28, that during the overnight hours of Sept. 26 the catalytic converter was stolen from underneath their vehicle as the vehicle sat parked, unoccupied, in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Shermer Road.
- A resident called police at 4:56 p.m. Sept. 28, to report that during the overnight hours of the previous night a catalytic converter was stolen from underneath their vehicle as the vehicle sat parked, unoccupied, in a parking lot in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road.
ASSAULT
A resident in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 10:08 a.m. Sept. 28, to report
a neighbor told them “I’m going to pound you” while they sat outside their home. The comment made the complainant feel they were about to be battered.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A Des Plaines resident was cited at 8:04 p.m. Sept. 28, for driving with no valid driver's license, failure to obey a traffic light, illegal window tint, following a traffic stop at Greenwood Road and Linneman Street. They were released on bond and assigned a court date of Nov. 12.
- A Chicago resident was cited at 10:54 p.m. Sept. 28, for driving with no valid driver's license, driving without headlights when required, following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for Oct. 26.
SPEEDING
A Glenview resident was cited at 6:33 p.m. Sept. 29, for speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for Nov. 12.
UNWANTED SUBJECT
An employee of the Glenview Ice Center Manager, 1851 Landwehr Road, reported at 8:08 p.m. Sept. 30, a dispute over a face covering with a patron. Officers spoke with the patron and they left the building.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY
A Glenview Public Works employee reported at 9:07 a.m. Oct. 1, damage at 2701 Aviator Lane. The second floor elevator control panel for the east elevator was missing, with the wires cut. The damage occurred sometime overnight between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
THEFT
- A Skokie resident called police at 11:07 a.m. Oct. 1, to report leaving property on the counter of a business in the 2400 block of Glenview Road. When they returned to the business, the property was missing.
- A resident in the 1200 block of Raleigh Road reported at 1:13 p.m. Oct. 2, selling an item through an online sales website. They mailed the property before receiving payment and have not received payment yet. Reported loss is $870.
- A Morton Grove resident called police at 4:51 p.m. Oct. 3, to report personal items stolen from a hotel room in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An Evanston resident reported at 3:41 p.m. Oct. 1, a group of juveniles inside a business in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue not wearing masks. The complainant spoke with the juveniles, who made insulting gestures toward them.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road called police at 10:37 a.m. Oct. 4, to report two people stole cosmetic products from the store at 3:50 p.m. Sept. 20. Total reported loss is unknown at this time.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
An employee of a plumbing business reported at 12:46 p.m. Oct. 4, parking their work truck in the 2100 block of Willow Road. Five minutes later, the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was described as a box truck with a trailer attached, hauling an excavator. The truck was equipped with a GPS locator. Glenview detectives located the truck in the 3300 block of West 31st Street, Chicago. Two unknown subjects fled from the truck and left in a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer. The trailer and excavator were not attached to the truck when it was located. Detectives recovered the trailer and excavator when previous GPS locations showed the truck had stopped for a short time in the 3600 block of South Iron Street, Chicago, before being found on 31st Street.
