Northbrook Community Synagogue's Women's Havura creates blankets for children

Northbrook Community Synagogue's Women's Havura group is having a Project Linus service day to create blankets for children in need.

Northbrook Community Synagogue’s Women’s Havura group is having a Project Linus service day to create blankets for children in need. The group will create polar fleece blankets, which will be donated to children in hospitals, shelters, and social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.

The women will prepare the fabric on Tues., March 7 from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. The Chicago contact for Project Linus will address the group on Thursday, March 9 at 1:30 p.m., and then the women will create the blankets. The cost to participate is $10. Please bring a scissors and ruler. To participate, or for more information, call the synagogue office at 847-509-9204.
